I spent some time exploring @alphaarcade going through the platform and reading about what the team is building. I also found a video on the website that helped bring the idea to life.
What interests me is that Alpha Arcade is building beyond a simple prediction market.
Users can trade on events, provide liquidity and earn rewards. base:0x31168aba53e790d04ea17e0b7a086383e4ca5c68 stakers can also earn a share of USDC trading fees and participate in governance.
But the bigger idea goes further. The team wants the community to have a greater role in shaping the protocol, from market creation to fee distribution and treasury decisions.
That combination of trading, rewards and community participation gives Alpha Arcade an interesting direction.
Some parts of the vision are still on the roadmap, but the foundations already live are worth exploring.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the ecosystem develops. 💙

Hello Algofam! I'm happy to finally present leakswap.com and zebgen.com for public beta testing (using TestNet/StageNet).
LeakSwap is my #Algorand - #Monero cross-chain swaps protocol. Thanks to Algorand's ~2.7s block time and instant finality I believe it to be the fastest non-custodial swap protocol out there. (For now it's only ALGO<->XMR but I have plans for other pairs as well!)
I recorded a video presentation I'm attaching here. I apologize for the background noise and subpar audio but I've been stuck away from home.
Importantly: the full demo is at 19:00 - 30:00. I simulate a full swap between 2 parties ("Ali" and "Xin"), which is also what I'd like the community to try out.

Two fractional real estate companies shut down this summer.
Investors in one of them are now stuck in SPVs that are hard to unwind.
I see 3 patterns that keep killing this category. We made the first mistake ourselves at @lofty_ai.
1. Chasing yield. Cheap properties show higher yields on paper, but they come with worse locations, troubled tenants, and repairs that eat the returns. We learned this in late 2022 and moved away from those properties.
2. Managing the properties yourself. If you run hundreds of houses for passive investors, you're running hundreds of small businesses. Someone has to drive out and fix the leak, and you can't scale that with software. We've never managed a property for investors, and some users still don't love that.
3. No real liquidity. If owners can't sell, they end up stuck like those SPV investors. Liquidity is the most important thing in any market, period, so that's where we're making most of our bets.
We're not successful yet either, and we run into plenty of our own problems. At least they're different problems.
