I think it is interesting that when the Greens gained popularity in the 80s the major parties noted that and adopted some of their policies. Nowadays they just try to discredit them.
I’d like to mention Mrs Thatcher warning about man-made climate change being a threat as big as nuclear war, not because I’m a fan of Mrs Thatcher, I can’t stand her, but I think it’s important that people on the right understand that climate change is not a left-wing conspiracy even though the fossil fuel propaganda says exactly that

Local MP knocked today. I'm obviously a coward but I simply couldn't say anything to them beyond "I don't want to talk to you." Thing is, they are doing a good job at a local level, but I simply don't understand how they can in good conscience represent their party.

If this makes players think twice about stupid goal celebrations then VAR will have been worth it.
All this nonsense for the goal to be disallowed 😂

Aston Villa will initiate legal action against Jamie Carragher for his unacceptable insults about the Club and its fans. Aston Villa will not allow anyone to stop our ascension in English and European football. Nassef Sawiris, Chairman

Basically, most of all that is going on politically at the moment is rooted in Islamophobia, isn't it?

People fail to appreciate just how virilent and aggressive the anti-Muslim bigotry that runs through our media and political establishment is. If Gilligan had said a fraction of what he says about Muslims about Jews, his Spectator summer party days would be long behind him.
Sayeeda Warsi is frontrunner, I hear, for the government's controversial "anti-Muslim hostility" czar, to be announced this week. As I explain, she'd store up huge trouble for ministers. And few nominal Tories are more despised by actual Tories than Warsi. spectator.com/article/sayeed…

Baseball on the radio is wonderful, along with cricket is the best sport to listen to on the radio, this is a complete nonsense argument.

Bit weird seeing so many people angry at James Acaster's actions on The Traitors, especially considering the potential/likely circumstances.

Very happy for anyone to commission me to see how hard it is to live on £216,000 a year.
I read a piece in the FT this week about the price of being middle class in Britain now and it said a couple earning £436,000 combined take home £216,000. That’s a crazy amount of tax, and it doesn't include VAT on purchases, council tax, stamp duty or other taxes (I think does include pension contributions). I can’t stop thinking about it.

"Sayeeda Warsi would make a terrible Islamophobia tsar", says the publication edited by Michael Gove, who was described as having "extreme views" towards Muslims by Sayeeda Warsi in 2018.
The name of the government's highly-controversial 'special representative' to oversee its equally controversial definition of 'anti-Muslim hostility' will be announced this week, ministers told Muslim groups at Downing Street yesterday. I understand that the shortlist of 12 includes, though is not limited to: Some of these names have, to say the least, questions over them. Asim, for instance, was sacked as an adviser to the last government after calling for a film about the Prophet Mohammed's daughter to be banned. And the definition itself, as I and others have previously argued, is deeply sinister. In the hands of some of these people, it could be weaponised to do really serious harm. ✍️ Andrew Gilligan Article | spectator.com/article/sayeed… | @mragilligan

Good job they reduced the price of marmalade otherwise I'd be livid about this.
Ukraine’s security is our security 🇬🇧🇺🇦
Backing Ukraine means helping it withstand Russian attacks, keeping essential services running and strengthening the security we all depend on.    The Chancellor has announced £10bn of economic support for Ukraine over three years.

The bleak problem is that to a man the British commentariat would fucking love to work for Palintir, with all the things normal people consider moral and ethical impediments actually being a huge bonus for them.
So many wise commentators assured us that Corbyn had discredited himself by antagonizing this gruesome little pimp when he was Labour's deputy leader. I'd love to see them offer their thoughts on Watson's infomercials for Palantir. (this particular gem is from Fintan O'Toole)

This book is really damning for Kushner. It claims the UAE paid Kushner $50 million to get Rex Tillerson fired as Secretary of State.

It's completely fucking nuts that the mainstream political opinion in this country is that we should support this ideology at all costs.
