Upside Robotics

We often get asked what our fields look like come harvest season….here’s a peek. This is what it looks like to cut nitrogen use by up to 70% without sacrificing yields. Want to learn more? Visit upsiderobotics.com and join us on our mission to build a more sustainable future in agriculture. #agtech #physicalai #harvestseason #cornfarming #farmrobotics

We’re thrilled to announce that Upside Robotics has made it to the Slush 100 Top 20! As we move toward autonomous robotics on a commercial scale, being recognized on a global stage validates our mission to make farming more sustainable and efficient through physical AI. See you at Slush! #PhysicalAI #Agtech #Startup #Robotics

Here at Upside, we like to get to the root of the issue - no pun intended. #cornfarmer #agtech #agriculture #soilhealth #precisionag

Upside Robots 🤝 Cornfields Our robots are designed to feed your crops what they need, when they need it. All season long. Featuring some gorgeous fields fertilized this year with the help of Upside Robots 🤖🌽 #precisionagriculture #agtech #agriculture #ontariocanada #corngrowers

We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without farmers willing to let us into their fields, share what they’ve learned, challenge our ideas, and help us get better. We’re incredibly grateful for the trust and time growers give us season after season. 💚 Happy National Farmers Day. #NationalFarmersDay #CdnAg #OntAg #Agriculture

We’re incredibly grateful to @Grandriverag and @adaptcouncil for their support, helping Upside connect with farmers at @AgPhDFieldDay in Sioux Falls, SD! An unforgettable experience. 🌽 #AgTech

Happy Ontario Agriculture Week from the team at Upside, where every week is Ag week. 🌾🚜 Our team is based in Waterloo, Ontario and we're especially grateful to work alongside the people who feed the world - this week and every week. Tank getting low? Back to base. Each Upside robot carries 50 L / 13 gal of fertilizer. When it needs more, it returns to the base station, refills automatically, and heads back out. No extra trip to the field just to fill it up. #OntAg #CdnAg #FarmRobotics #AgTech #Corn #PrecisionAg

Calling it “the 2026 Ontario growing season” makes it sound like everyone had the same one. Some fields sat wet. Others watched storms split around them. Sometimes only a few kilometres apart. #agriculture #farming #farmers #ontario #canada #corn #ontariofarming #ontag #cdnag

Tassels are out. The crop isn’t done with nitrogen. As corn moves through rapid growth toward tasseling, its demand for water and nitrogen climbs quickly while much of its yield potential is being established. But tasseling isn’t the finish line. By that point, corn has typically taken up about two-thirds of the nitrogen it will use through the season meaning there’s still more uptake to come during grain fill. The crop’s needs keep changing, even late in the season. Meet Tanya 👋 VP of Agronomy & Strategic Partnerships, crop-data translator, farmer liaison, and a “farm kid through and through.” She helps connect what’s happening in the field with the data behind it, working across agronomy, algorithms, and farmer feedback to support better nutrient decisions. Yellow corn gets your attention, but nitrogen isn’t always the whole story. In our latest newsletter, Founding Agronomist Tanya Franklin shares what the team has been seeing in the field including areas that looked short on nitrogen but turned out to have other things going on, like compaction, restricted rooting, earlier saturation, moisture stress, or uneven emergence. In-season nutrient application can add another job to an already busy season. Automating recharging, refilling and redeployment can reduce the amount of hands-on tending required and give growers more flexibility with their time. #OntAg #CdnAg #NutrientManagement #PrecisionAg #Corn
