📚 Salafi Tamperings of Sahih Bukhari 🧵
Below is a copy of Sahih Bukhari in English. Translated and published by dar us salaam.
They translate the verse
“Everything will perish save His face”
But conveniently leave out the part where Bukhari did Ta’wil
[ Pseudo salafi translation ]
(كل شيء هالك إلا وجهه) إلا ملكه، ويقال : إلا أريد به وجه الله
This has been translated by the publisher as:
"Everything will perish save His face.”
(V .28:88)
This is not accurate.

(48) Surah Al-Qasas
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
"Everything will perish except His Face."
Al BUKHARI SAID : “Except His dominion. And it is said: except that which was intended for the sake of Allah's Face.”
This is the tafsir of imam Bukhari which the translater seemed to conveniently leave out, as Imam Bukhari who is from the salaf did Ta' wil (Figurative Interpretation) of the word itself.

The only debates some Wahabis can win are those against Christians. They mainly rely on pointing out inconsistencies in the Bible.
