Created Face unlock on Omarchy, with liveness detection 👀 - Look at your laptop → unlocked. No password typed, no keystrokes injected - Defeats printed photos & phone screens (5-cue liveness model) - Goes through PAM, same path as sudo/hyprlock. Zero passwords stored - Bar widget + panel, plugin included @dhh & @OmarchyLinux ❤️ Open source, submitted to the marketplace 👇 github.com/ayandexyz/glance-… glancelinux.website/

I'm in love with the "git worktree" command
202
I've been working with Free/Open Source Software since before Git (we had CVS), Github (we had SourceForge, Freshmeat), or pull requests (we used patches), but best of all, there were no social networks. When someone submitted a patch, a suggestion, etc., what mattered was the quality of the work: good, bad, or meaningless for the project. Either way, we were grateful, and often, when it was bad or not useful, a justification was given for such an assessment. The code always came before the person, no matter who they were, and no one would "raise their criminal record" to somehow bias the evaluation of the work done, quite different from what is done today, in many cases. Code is one of the most transparent things there is; it can and—in my humble opinion—should be treated as such.

can anyone tell me how do developers lived without zellij? I'm addicted to it, and it is so much easier than tmux... my only problem now is to ssh from a zellij tab and want to open another zellij in the server machine :P

First world problems, switching from Google Assistant to Gemini as default assistant of the cellphone makes it smarter but, also makes it forget how to control the smart things around... Assistant could control my AC, Gemini can't 😂😂 and it is supposed to be better...

The only problem of working with vim, is that I try to use the same key bindings to type on chrome 😂

LazyVim is the easiest and fastest way to configure vim I know about, and I love it 😅

Our new GitHub extension for local CI sign-offs make it easy to prevent PRs from being merged until tests, linters, and security checks have all been run on the developer machine. Enjoy! github.com/basecamp/gh-signo…

You can combine this with a simple bin/ci script that calls gh signoff once your local CI run is done.

Man, after years of using Ruby on Rails, working on a project with Python and SQLAlchemy is depressing. 😫 The Python APIs are nowhere near as developer-friendly as Rails APIs. #python #ruby #rails #sqlalchemy
