AO mainnet is now live.
This is a huge step towards the kind of internet we in the @ArweaveEco have been building towards. I am immensely grateful to the incredible builders and our amazing community who worked so hard to make this happen. While this is a major milestone, we also know this is just the beginning.
My motivation for building AO comes from the same place as Arweave: I believe our online lives should come with guaranteed, immutable rights. Just as constitutions guarantee our rights in physical space. As we spend more and more time online, it's essential to ensure the rights we cherish are not lost.
Arweave laid the groundwork by providing permanent, decentralized, and uncensorable data storage. With AO, we're building on that foundation, adding a decentralized, open-access supercomputer directly connected to the internet. This enables confidential, decentralized computation and helps us shift away from the centralized control of Web2, opening up access to information and opportunity for more people.
This launch marks a new chapter, and I'm so excited to share it with you all.
To the future.
AO mainnet: LIVE 🟢
The dynamic permaweb, powered by AO and Arweave, is here to reshape the internet.

inspired by @farcaster_xyz frames we’re launching @solarplex_xyz frames next week in beta!
frames will allow anyone to build integrations for @solarplex_xyz as simply as adding og tags to their site and sharing a link in a post.
imagine buy via @tensor_hq, bid on @mallow__art or @foster_protocol, swap via @JupiterExchange, or airdrop via @BackAnUnderdog directly from your social feed.
by simply sharing a link.
we first built this functionality with our partners over at @mallow__art and we’ve been working on making it available to everyone! the farcaster spec helped think through this in an easy fashion!
we hope that @metaplex cHack / @ColosseumOrg participants and other devs can use this to create some fun apps!
we are building this on top of @bluesky @at__protocol and hope to contribute this back as a feature in the future!

'Twas the night after Christmas, when all through the 'plex,
The weekend’s excitement still had its effects.
