I know the market looks bad. But let's take a step back here... Last few weeks we have had 6b Binance hack, dem clean sweep, major sell off across ai and more broadly markets down badly last few days. Impact on crypto has been really modest so far.

$1.23B liquidated in 24h. 87.5% of it longs. only $89.9M of that came in the last 12h. OI: $133.8B, -3.2% volume: $323B, +36% BTC funding: 0.0074%, under the 0.01% baseline Looks like $BTC will test $70K again.

Is this the sign of a degenerate problem gambler?
The trenches are calling and I must go.

americans got equity perps today. offshore traders already had them. last 24h: SNDK perp longs liquidated: $12.69M SOXL perp longs liquidated: $12.13M GOOGL funding on binance: 0.0336%, over 3x BTC's 0.01% You can expect this volume to increase now that the US has regulated equity perps. nitter.cf/ChairmanSelig/status/2…
Today, equity perps can begin trading for the first time on @CFTC registered exchanges. This move reflects my commitment to ensuring that America’s markets remain the most innovative, liquid, and well-regulated in the world. Instead of being forced to turn to offshore, unregulated venues to access equity perpetual futures, Americans may now access equity perps on CFTC-regulated markets subject to robust safeguards. I appreciate the continued partnership of @SECGov and @SECPaulSAtkins as we work to further harmonize our agencies' regulatory initiatives.

ETH ETFs just logged 23 straight days of outflows. a record. ETH perp funding: still positive, ~0.007%. tradfi keeps selling, but traders are still positioned long.

30 years. zero losing years. zero posts. post #1: backing 24/7 perps on hyperliquid, alongside the company that owns the NYSE. the market that never closes just got its most credible endorsement. nitter.cf/standuquesne/status/21…
I am excited to be an investor in trade(xyz) as they partner with ICE to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the United States. As a market participant, I am looking forward to to using their innovative product to enhance my investment process.

pre-FOMC tape: 24h: $196M liquidated, 71% of it shorts. last 4h: flipped. 80% of $45M rekt was longs. OI down 1.4% to $141B. BTC funding 0.0075%, basically flat. $BTC remains rangebound between $80K and $85K as we head into US midterm elections.

quietest liq day in weeks: $133M rekt in 24h, down 34%. but 83% of the last 4 hours was shorts. largest single hit: a $9.39M ETH short at $2,348. BTC back over $80.5K off a 5-week low. OI +1.7%, funding flat at 0.01%. and hyperliquid whales just flipped net short BTC for the first time since march. early, or exit liquidity? nitter.cf/glassnode/status/21150…
Hyperliquid whales are net short bitcoin:native for the first time since March. This group managed to long the bottom, but the positioning flipped last week. The question is whether they are early to a deeper pullback, or about to be squeezed if price turns higher.

Big news from the @HyperliquidX team. Kraken bringing onchain compliant perps to the US.
Excited to work with Payward to forge a path for onchain derivatives built on Hyperliquid's infrastructure. Kraken is one of the most trusted and respected exchanges in crypto. They are also true believers in the technology and crypto ethos. We're honored that they are building on Hyperliquid to bring the next evolution of perpetual markets to the United States.

ELI5: circuit breaker. a circuit breaker = an automatic pause that halts all trading when a market falls too far, too fast. think of a fuse box: too much current and the power cuts before the house burns. brazil's stock exchange tripped its first one since covid today, after a 10% drop. crypto's version? Auto deleveraging systems on perps exchanges. the market doesn't pause, but the positioning gets reset.

Happy to be offering $BVIV as a tradable perp on mullet. Nice work @volmexfinance
215,000+ BVIV Index perpetual futures contracts (~$8.38m) traded on @HyperliquidX since launch. Now working towards deeper liquidity. This is the next big unlock. BVIV everywhere. app.hyperliquid.xyz/trade/mk…

24h Market Check: $151B volume, +17%. open interest +1%. liquidations $177M, down 55% from yesterday. $EWZ perps got $12.5M rekt and USDBRL funding hit 0.91%, the highest rate on the board. The Brazil election results hit the perps market first before tradfi markets opened.

666 wallets have now each lost over $1M trading perps on hyperliquid. add the 219,103 traders liquidated in the last 24 hours and the its clear that the market is choppy. the survivors aren't betting bigger. they're reading funding, OI and the liq map before entry.

ELI5: market depth. depth = the money sitting in a market's order book (the list of live buy and sell offers) ready to absorb your trade. this week a $200K bet allegedly moved a senate market 17 points. check the depth before you trust the price.

$331M liquidated in 24h. 81% longs. 82,417 traders. but most were tradfi names: silver perps $23.5M rekt, gold $18.8M, SOXL $11.8M, sandisk $11.6M. largest single liq of the day: a $3.77M SOXL long on hyperliquid.

the wildest degen trade of the week wasn't onchain. $SOXL, the 3x leveraged semiconductor ETF, pulled in $6.1B of inflows in one week: the biggest in its history, double the old record. the same week, it fell 33%. its worst since march 2025. tradfi is buying triple leverage into a drawdown. (SOXL trades on mullet, for the record.)
