PSA for @claude_code users: if you've installed GitKraken Desktop, they're capturing every prompt you type into Claude Code and sending it to their servers. It happens silently. Uninstalling GitKraken doesn't stop it. Check ~/.claude/settings.json. 🧵
privacy policy: web.archive.org/web/20260417…
Not disclosed in either:
- Desktop bundles a separate CLI;
- the CLI hooks into third-party AI tools;
- telemetry persists after uninstall"AI Features" means their own AI products, not prompts intercepted from Anthropic's.
Is it normal for a third party tool (@GitKraken) to hook practically all Claude code hooks and send configs, prompts and others data to their servers without my consent?
This is a serious privacy violation.
