Wisp has eight models and one switch. A short guide to choosing: - Balanced for everyday work. - Advanced when the task is hard and worth the extra usage. - Thinking on when the question has steps, especially dates and money. - An image model when you’re reading a photo or a scan. Whichever you pick, the privacy doesn’t change.

if your company banned ChatGPT for client work, DM me. I'll get you set up on @usewisp_io myself and walk through your first real task with you.

What do sites see when Wisp searches for you? Wisp’s searches go out from a proxy in a sealed chip that keeps no logs. Brave gets the words - nothing else - and you get the answer. 👇

The request comes from Wisp’s proxy, not your machine, so no IP, no browser, no cookies, and neither the proxy nor Brave keeps a record of it. The query itself still travels, which is why it's best to keep client names or personal data out of your searches. Find out more: usewisp.io/blog/private-web-…

Companies are now realizing they can get frontier intelligence from open weight LLMs + hide their IP from Sam and Dario. if you want the same guarantees without running your own infra, there’s Wisp. Open-weight models in a hardware sealed-chip, and nobody able to read, store or train on your most sensitive data.

People should be able to say all of this to something. The problem is that “something” has a data centre, a legal team and a training pipeline. Wisp’s doesn’t: the prompt is read inside a sealed chip, the history stays on your laptop, none of it trains a model. Just ask it.
People have zero idea what others are confessing to AI right now. - biometrics (palm lines and iris scans) - exact salary and debts - bank statements - full medical reports - symptoms they're scared to google - company's confidential files - passwords and API keys - screenshots of their partner's chats - "is my partner cheating on me?" - breakup texts before sending - selfies asking "am I ugly?" - fights with their parents - 2am therapy sessions - mistakes they still regret - insecurities they'd never tell a human

Everyone wants an agent that buys stuff for them until the agent buys stuff for them. Wisp asks before every send, write and command.
Amazon banning agents is the first opportunity I've seen since Amazon was founded for a startup to create an Amazon competitor. People will want agents to buy stuff for them. It will be one of the main use cases. And they won't want to use some Amazon-supplied agent to do it.

You should be able to hand your AI the real contract. You should be able to hand it the real numbers. You should be able to ask the stupid question with your name on it. You should be able to see where the prompt goes before it goes. You should be able to get a receipt for that. You should be able to keep the history on the machine in front of you. You should be able to forget a conversation and have it stay forgotten. You should be able to connect your inbox without handing over the keys. You should be able to say no to a send and have it not send. You should be able to pay for the model and not with the conversation. You should be able to use it on a free plan with the same privacy as the paid one. Your prompts should be yours.

AI PRIVACY DISASTERS IN JUST THE LAST 2 WEEKS: Sept 24: Australia's PM reveals an OpenAI agent got into the Medicare statistics portal in June and pulled internal files. OpenAI found out Aug 11 and told the government Sept 10, by emailing a public inbox. Sept 29: UpGuard finds 16,326 Supabase databases wide open, most behind vibe-coded apps. Plaintext passwords, live OTP codes, passport scans, a consulate's location records. Supabase: "customers control how their own projects are configured." Oct 1: IMDEA researchers test the nine biggest chatbots. All nine ship data to ad trackers. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity and DeepSeek pinged Google Ads after users rejected cookies. Grok exposed public links to whole conversations by default. Paying for a plan didn't change the exposure. Oct 5: Wired reports Meta's Muse runs an hourly job building a page on every person in your life, including people who never signed up. Birthdays, savings goals, "emotional closeness". Meta's defence: it's all stored in your "dedicated secure virtual machine" (lol). Oct 5: OpenAI starts invisibly watermarking all ChatGPT and Codex text in the EU. The detector goes to "approved researchers and expert organisations". Not you. Same week: ads inside ChatGPT image generation, placed by reading "conversation context". Oct 5: Norway moves to ban AI glasses in schools, hospitals, gyms, beaches and concerts because they film people "without their knowledge". Days after California vetoed a similar bill. Oct 6: Anthropic removes the "Only on your computer" option from Claude Cowork. New Pro and Max tasks now run on Anthropic's servers. It was a setting. Now it's a memory.

Two weeks. 7 incidents. Zero of them needed your chat history to do the job. Wisp keeps it on your laptop, encrypted, and reads your prompt inside a sealed chip. There's nothing to leak and no one to subpoena.

A coffee machine uploaded a terabyte in ten days. Now think about what the thing you tell your actual secrets to is uploading.
Hey uh, @Keurig - what the hell is a COFFEE MACHINE uploading, let me double check... ONE FUCKING TERABYTE OF DATA IN 10 DAYS!?!? Immediately unplugging that. Getting my parents a new coffee machine.

Our designer built a skill in Wisp that reads dozens of sources every morning and prints the top three on a thermal receipt. No feed, no tabs, no server that saw what he reads. The receipt is the only copy. With Wisp, you can just do things.
My mornings now start with a receipt. Every day a skill I built in Wisp reads dozens of design and AI sources, picks what matters, and my thermal printer prints one strip. No feed. No tabs. Coffee and paper.

"Live with your account and go where you go" is a lovely way of saying "not on your computer anymore." Wisp went the other way. Chats encrypted on your laptop. The model in a sealed chip that proves itself before your prompt leaves. Files you can hand over because nobody upstream can open them. Where is your data? You know, because you can point at it.
🚨Anthropic removes Cowork's local option for Pro/Max tomorrow. New tasks run in the cloud. Existing local tasks stay on your computer. Anthropic says your sessions and files "live with your Claude account and go where you go." Where is my data, and who can access it?

The scary part of Muse isn't what it knows about you. It's that your privacy is now decided by whichever of your friends installed it. Wisp keeps your chats on your laptop, encrypted. There is no page on anyone.

Wisp won't (actually can't) do this. 😬
Another reason why local AI is absolutely necessary.

Private AI shouldn't need 26 config files.

Wisp won't scan or read anything you don't ask it to.
So @Muse said it only searched gmail when I asked. But it scanned my email daily without permission, then made up explanations twice when I caught it. No setting to stop the surveillance — only a kill switch for Gmail completely.

What happens when you drop board_deck.pdf into me: - Stays encrypted on your laptop ✅ - Goes to a model in a sealed chip, only after I check its receipt ✅ - Nothing logged on our side ✅ - Never used for training ✅ Same on the free plan. Follow the guide below to verify for yourself. 🫆
