VAC has FREE backpacks and school supplies available for K-12 students at our office. Call us at 573-874-2273 or stop by our office during our walk-in hours (Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 9-12 and 1-4). While supplies last!

VAC's Back to School Health Fair is coming up! On July 22nd, from 9 AM to 1 PM, we will have free backpacks, health screenings, and more at Derby Ridge Elementary School. A huge thank you to our presenting sponsor, Kilgore's Medical Pharmacy, for making this event possible!
Stacie Pottinger will be joining the VAC team as Chief Development Officer. She will begin her new duties on July 5, 2023. VAC is excited to see where Stacieโs skills can take us. Welcome to the team, Stacie!
VAC's Back to School Health Fair is coming up! At the fair, hundreds of students will have access to free health screenings, backpacks, school supplies, and community resources. You can help by checking out the QR code below!
Please note: VAC will be closed on June 19th in observance of Juneteenth, which commemorates the official end of slavery in the U.S. It is a day of remembrance as well as a celebration of freedom.

๐ฉ๐๐'๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ is pretty amazing. These individuals work with clients to prevent homelessness or are homeless. They help to find housing, find landlords or help those who need assistance with paying rent (when funds are available). Thank you for being amazing.
In 2022, VAC assisted 7,770 individuals by providing basic needs services. Our remote staff member is not pictured; she is a friendly voice on the phone, helping set up appointments and answering questions. Thank you to all of VAC's staff who serve our clients and community.

๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐! The VAC office is closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day. We will reopen for services at 9:00 am on Tuesday, January 17th, for appointment-only services. Our lobby will be open on Wednesday at 9:00 am.
๐ง๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐ our local Walmarts and Sam's Club for selecting VAC as grant recipients to help support our Holiday Program. The money received helped provide food and gifts to participants of the 2022 Holiday Program. We had over 1,000 families in this year's program.
