@radeksikorski Please help to free the HMMWV for Ukrainian defenders! 🙏🙏🙏 Please share!
MAXIMUM REPOST PLEASE. Here is a story about what happened to my friend in Poland, because maybe this reaches someone who can actually help. My friends from SAB UA spent almost two years getting an American HMMWV from Canada to Ukraine. This was not some random military vehicle driven across Europe without paperwork. It has an American re-export licence confirming it is demilitarised and allowed for civilian use, Canadian export documents, Estonian import/export licences, declarations, end-user certificate, request from the Ukrainian military unit and Canadian civilian registration. Basically a mountain of paperwork. But because the HMMWV was originally manufactured for the military, one document still contains the classification ML6.a. And this tiny code became a very big problem in Poland. The convoy arrived at the Polish border last Thursday. Five vehicles passed, but the HMMWV and my Estonian friend Jan Laar, who volunteered as the driver, were detained. And not for a few hours. The first night Jan slept inside the HMMWV. Food and water eventually ran out and at one point he literally ate cat food with mineral water because that was what he had. There was no proper toilet and the nights are already cold. Later another shift moved him into a tiny holding cell, allowed him to buy food, shower and even order pizza. And then somehow he was basically forgotten in that cell for two days, until Monday when management came back and someone finally dealt with the situation. His passport and documents had also been taken. Altogether my friend spent around five days there. Jan is not a criminal, smuggler or someone transporting military equipment for profit. He is an Estonian and EU citizen who volunteered his own time to drive aid more than 2,000 km toward Ukraine. On Monday he was finally released and thankfully there is no huge fine or criminal case. But the HMMWV is still detained in Poland. SAB UA has now been told they need another document from the Polish Ministry of Development and Technology, either permission allowing transit through Poland and import into Ukraine, or confirmation that such permission is not required. The answer can take one month. Potentially two. Meanwhile the vehicle sits there while Ukrainians who were supposed to receive it are waiting. Nobody is asking Poland to ignore its laws. But something is seriously wrong when volunteers can spend almost two years obtaining American, Canadian, Estonian and Ukrainian documents and still discover at another EU border that one classification means another national permit is required. So MAXIMUM REPOST please. We need this to reach someone in Poland who can actually help: Ministry officials, diplomats, customs or strategic-goods specialists, lawyers, volunteer organisations, Estonian or Ukrainian representatives, or anyone who has dealt with ML6.a transit permits. If you know someone, please tag them, share this or connect them with SAB UA. The HMMWV needs to get out of Poland and to the Ukrainians waiting for it. 🇺🇦 Original post with the full story: facebook.com/share/p/1Hm8ASg…

@ElMundoInter

A network associated with Russian special services planned to assassinate Garry Kasparov and Ilya Ponomarev in the United States. El Mundo journalists cite American investigation materials and their own sources in the politicians' inner circles. This is Putin's usual tactic. Putin has always sought to kill his opponents and opposition figures both in Russia and abroad. One of the goals is also to intimidate critics of the Kremlin living in exile. Putin wants to show that no borders and passports of other countries guarantee safety. Attempting to organize assassinations on US territory is a step up to a new level of escalation. Planning special operations like this one in Washington and New York demonstrates the Kremlin's readiness to completely destroy the former containment system. There must be a clear response from the US and NATO, not only in the form of public legal actions, diplomatic pressure, and the strengthening of internal security. The only thing Russia understands is strength. And the networks of Russian special services feel increasingly unpunished in NATO countries. This is war. It is necessary to move from passive defense to aggressive countermeasures.

An Irish refinery is secretly feeding more than 100 Russian defense plants. Legally. Rusal owns it. Its exports to Russia grew from 24% of sales in 2021 to 68% in 2025. Missiles hitting Kyiv may be part Irish, and the EU has not sanctioned the plant yet — The Economist. 1/

When I report on the Russian air campaign targeting Ukrainian cities and especially in posts where I document what’s happening in Kyiv, Kremlin bots and Western tankies swarm the replies. Many are congratulatory of the “the Ukronazis deserve it” variety, and some are justifications with the fake balancing act of “the Ukrainians bombed Moscow, so what did you expect?” But most are in outright denial: Russians would never target civilians. Some asserted that the video that I personally recorded is an obvious AI fake (these went down as videos that could be more easily authenticated flooded the internet), and many just claimed that there was a NATO base/high level military gathering/secret drone factory in the National Academy of Sciences, and so it was a legitimate military target. Bad news for this group, guys. Here’s the Russians themselves telling you that they are targeting civilians deliberately. Of course, they are apparently doing that “to save lives.” I expect this new justification to start making the rounds too with the bots as it’s gotten practically impossible to deny the reality of the Russian terrorist campaign.
🇷🇺 “We don't bomb civilians” is out. “We’re bombing Kyiv to save lives” is in. Direct quote: “So the bad news is that we’re shelling civilian targets. That’s kind of not really our style. And the good news is that it’s being done to save civilian lives.” — Russian ‘political philosopher’ Alexander Kazakov

Those few specimens donated to Ukraine will be the most combat used F-16 anywhere in the world, while the thousands in the rest of the world sit three idly, vast majority of them retiring without ever seeing a fight.

🇺🇦✈️ WSJ: Ukraine’s F-16 aces have shot down some 2,500 drones of all types and some 650 cruise missiles. But after 300 hours of flying time, F-16s require what’s known as “phase inspection” to keep the engine, avionics, hydraulics, fuel lines and other systems in working order. Phase inspection generally takes two to six weeks in the U.S., but it’s “taking as long as 40 weeks in Belgium,” says retired U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Mark Montgomery. More than half of Ukraine’s F-16s are currently in maintenance limbo, and at the current pace of use and maintenance Kyiv will exhaust the rest by the end of the year.

This is the reality Ukrainian children are being forced to live through. Don’t look away. Share this video. Speak about Ukraine. Make sure the world sees what russia is doing.

Stage 3 — Perhaps I can sow a seed of doubt in their dumb brains if I counter every argument with facts. Stage 4 — They’re hopeless. It’s kinda sad that humans can be this dumb. Stage 5 — Yep! They’re dumb. Moving on.

What I genuinely don’t understand is why russia thinks every country around it has to live according to what russia wants. Poland is discussing producing Patriot missiles on Polish territory, as part of efforts to expand production for Ukraine and European defence. And somehow russia thinks its “military doctrine” should determine what Poland is allowed to do in Poland. Every country around russia is apparently the problem. Everyone is “hostile.” Everyone is “provoking” russia simply by making sovereign decisions Moscow doesn’t like. If you have a problem with everyone around you, maybe everyone around you isn’t the problem. Maybe you are.

A rare moment of clarity in the European Parliament. Van Lanschot said it plainly: whatever Russia takes in Ukraine, it will use against Europe. The whole security equation, without the diplomatic fog. The minority understands. The majority still treats this war as Ukraine’s problem, a regional dispute to be managed, not a continental threat to be defeated. Every delay in weapons, every hesitation on air defense, every “escalation management” talking point buys Moscow time to rebuild and redeploy. The cost is paid in Ukrainian cities now and European borders later.

Everyone must see this report.
"Russia’s turning abducted Ukrainian children into Russian soldiers." Reporter @KathrynDiss traveled to Ukraine for ABC’s Foreign Correspondent to expose this devastating reality. After years of indoctrination and militarization, kidnapped kids are being forced to sign contracts and fight against their own country. Save Ukraine helped the journalist embed with our rescue missions and speak with youth who have just escaped occupation. Thank you, Kathryn Diss, for bringing the global mission to bring Ukraine’s kids home to a wider audience. 📺 Watch the full report Tuesday, September 29, at on @abcnews and ABC iView. And you can also see it on YouTube.
