Police said Ismael English stabbed his Lyft driver three times during an attempted carjacking on Manhattan’s FDR Drive. The Tesla crashed into another vehicle, and English tried taking another motorist’s car before climbing over the overpass and letting go. He didn’t escape. He broke both legs, was arrested at the scene and taken to Bellevue Hospital. His charges included attempted murder, attempted robbery, reckless endangerment and weapons possession.
