I wasn’t expecting walking down the middle of the newly pedestrianised Oxford Street to feel so lovely (never a word I’ve used for Oxford St before!). It instantly feels like something that should have been done years ago.
Well done, @MayorofLondon, for finally getting it done.

The ULEZ and the electrification of public transport has transformed London from “the Big Smog” to one of the cleanest major cities on the planet.
This has saved thousands of lives.
And to think, the right-wing campaigned vigorously against this.

On 19 July 2024, I published two posts on my X account in which I made allegations about Mr Mothin Ali being involved in the Harehills riots. I have accepted these were incorrect and I have jointly made a statement in open Court in order to apologise to Mr Ali and correct the record which is below.

🚨🗣️ Jesse Marsch: When I was still the Leeds United manager we tried to sign Erling Haaland but they said we have to pay £150m, then Manchester City signed him for £52m,it was very obvious that something was not clear about that deal,
He added that Manchester City should be punished heavily and he would even want them to get relegated 🤯
We need to start campaigning for pedestrianises Soho with outdoor dining and drinking. We can make it better!

Remember the outrage when cars were removed from the top of Trafalgar Square? Or the outrage with the removal of cars in Aldwych? Or Alfred Place
Now, no one cares, because once cars are removed, the area instantly improves. I suspect the same will happen with Oxford Street.

Most of my hails are from Oxford Street.
The closure will be one of the most damaging effects in a long line of attacks against The London Taxi.
Once again @Conservatives have let us down AGAIN.

NEW: Oxford Street will start to go traffic free from Monday 26 October.
Following strong support from Londoners and businesses - this will mark the start of our work to transform the nation's high street.

At the #LondonCyclingFestival I met Erma, and was lucky enough to have a cycle on her amazing “Smile Machine”.
Four seats are on offer, and Erma takes people out in Westminster for a pedal, some fresh air and to run errands … 1/3

Lovely to see so many enjoying the #LondonCyclingFestival with @HaringeyCyclist 🚲
The sun was shining, bells were ringing & you could hear people chatting as they rode.
This is what our streets in London should look & feel like!
Thank you to all the organisers and marshals☀️
