Had to pop by & behold/capture this for myself because seeing Hollanov on the literal jumbotron (Outside of the HBO MAX Sunset Blvd #GIFBoard) is so SO wild! Just a block from Times Square as well 🔥 Hope everyone attending the cinema screenings next weekend enjoys their time!
Stopped in my tracks omg

Q: Are you the one who’s going to turn Texas blue? @JamesTalarico: I’m not interested in turning Texas blue. I wanna win this seat so that I can fight for all 31 million Texans — whether they’re Democrats, independents, or Republicans. My party talks about turning Texas blue a lot. Republicans talk about keeping Texas red. I think the best color for Texas is purple. When you have a purple state and competitive elections, it forces every politician in both parties to stay on their toes. My hope in this race is that we can end 30 years of one-party rule and get competitive elections back in Texas so politicians are actually solving problems.

Just last month, DoorDash couldn’t seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas — until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties. This week, they’ve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors. Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers. We’ve stood up to these giants before. That doesn’t stop now.

Always love Jacob's commentary on media creation - it is indeed a "collective art" and best embraced as such!
New Jacob Tierney interview with @Cosmopolitan! “The Heated Rivalry TV series creator is not afraid to get real about what it took to bring the iconic romance story to life.” 🔗 cosmopolitan.com/entertainme…

Hollywood’s center of gravity is increasingly tilting to the East Coast. While California kept its crown at No. 1 with $1.76 billion in movie and TV production spend, New York is drawing major titles at a much more rapid pace, according to industry tracker ProdPro’s closely-watched quarterly snapshot released on Thursday. The state surged 87 percent in production spend in the quarter to $1.61 billion compared with California’s 17 percent uptick. hollywoodreporter.com/busine…

Jacob Tierney talks to @AttitudeMag about rewriting Shane's coming out scene from episode six: "We shot that one day. It started to rain; we had to stop." "We were like, ‘We’re gonna pick the rest of this up tomorrow,’ and I rewrote it that night because I wasn’t happy with what was happening." "When you have actors that are as good as Christina Chang and Hudson Williams, and the scene isn’t quite doing what I wanted it to do, I was like, ‘That’s my fault. My writing is not hitting it out of the park.’" "It was too long… It was just a lot of, like, me having overwritten something and, you know, then when you see it being played out, your mind changes." "There’s a version of life where you could fix it in the editing room, but I don’t love doing that. I would rather fix it on the day. I think the impact is that they feel a bit more in control of their performances as well. I’m not interested in controlling their performances to that degree." "[Christina and Hudson] were great and adaptable and we changed it, and I think we made it much better than it was initially conceived." Full article 🔗: attitude.co.uk/culture/heate…

“We looked through the diaspora of Ukrainian actors. We had casting out of Berlin, Prague, London, places we thought we would find the most actors of Slavic heritage. I'll tell you, I did not expect to find Ilya in West Texas.”
