i didn't know my life was about to change after high school i had just finished school, and like every parent, my dad wanted me to learn a skill i told him I wanted to learn baking or fashion design he said no, guess his response lmao, you couldn't right? his response was; "I'm registering you in a computer training academy" you needed to see my face, i almost cried. I mean, that's not a bad one, but who learns how to use a computer nowadays well, he's my father and I couldn't say no so, I started the training. somewhere in the middle of all that, I met a guy who introduced me to something I'd never heard about before "NFTs" and that was the beginning of everything i went down the rabbit hole, started reading about nfts, joining communities, watching people mint, sell, trade and talk about things I had never heard bfr (btw, it was all on discord, didn't know about twitter at the time) this was my first real introduction to crypto, so everything felt new i wasn't even 18 at the time i remember needing a @binance account because i needed somewhere to get into the crypto side of things, and since I was under 18, I used my mum's details to set mine up i know, I know 😂, I was determined at the beginning, i mainly used binance for p2p. i needed a way to get crypto and binance p2p became the easiest way for me to do that (btw, it's disabled in my region now) that was a whole learning experience on its own i had to figure out how all of this worked, while simultaneously trying to understand nfts, wallets, discord, mints, gas fees and all the other words that made absolutely no sense when I first started and yes, I got scammed too that one deserves its own story 😂 but somewhere between trying not to lose money, figuring out how to move crypto around and spending way too much time in discord communities, i realized i wasn't just curious anymore i was in it, made my first money from crypto wasn't some crazy amount, can't remember the exact figure anymore but I remember how it felt (ofc I used binance p2p) i met people from different countries, joined communities, started helping projects w collaborations, hosted whitelist giveaways and spent nights messaging projects hoping someone would reply some did, a lot didn't, I kept going anyway and when i look back at the beginning, there are so many things that make me laugh, but still grateful for growth i didn't know that those first steps would lead me into web3, introduce me to some of the people that's part of my life today, and eventually become something I genuinely build and create in i just knew I wanted to see what was on the other side of that rabbit hole I'm still here (love it here)
