If Flávio Bolsonaro is now an American citizen, congratulations! Apparently, even patriotism has a foreign address now.
We, the Brazilians who truly love our country, can only watch this political comedy with a mix of disbelief and secondhand embarrassment. To us, he is less a symbol of Brazilian patriotism and more a bad joke that somehow keeps getting worse.
Brazil deserves leaders who stand with their people, not politicians who turn patriotism into a costume they wear when convenient.
If hypocrisy were an Olympic sport, perhaps he could finally bring home a gold medal even if the medal had to be imported.

Flavio Bolsonaro, I hear you have never worked a day in your life. Now that Brazil is working to freeze your assets, it appears you now seek to be a leech on the American taxpayer’s dime.
