All of the following has Jean using said powers predominantly: X-men Evolution, X-men 97, Brand New Day, and for most of the Hickman era used only her telepathy and telekinesis. So in short…couldn’t be farther from the truth.
im here again, because not only did they miss the psionic part of her character, but it barely passes as phoenix. she has no revive mechanic, no telekinesis, no telepathy. all the things you would expect from her and her character mythos is kinda missing from her kit.

scott as a brawl vanguard that uses his optics to deflect projectiles, while his ult blinds and weakens enemies.
jean as an aggressive strategist that uses a telepathic link to heal through walls, telekinesis for displacement/saving allies, and an aoe silence/anti-heal ult.
