im just venting here btw. not asking for sympathy. also interesting how so many people just assume that I’m an AI luddite unwilling to adapt or learn/integrate AI based tools into my production process. I don’t like AI on a zoomed out level. But I’m not saying “I nobly refuse to use AI, and don’t like that I can’t compete with other editors who will use it”. I like to avoid using it when possible, but can competently approach a project with a hybrid workflow utilizing AI to eliminate some of the low level mundanities.
My issue is that content, across practically every medium, has become a flood of synthesized slop. and more people who would have, a few years ago, hired a boutique editing studio for a project, wanting a bespoke deliverable with artistic and creative flair, are instead going with said synthesized slop because it can be cheaper.

What I've learned about Polymarket.
- 0.4% of the Top Traders earn 70% of the profit
- Donald Trump JR is Strategic Advisor of BOTH Polymarket and Kalshi (prediction market apps)
- Targeted towards young adults, mainly men during one the biggest gambling crisis's ever faced. (Sports betting)
- Banned in 30-40 Countries. This app is targeted towards users in the United States.
- Multiple on-going STATE lawsuits saying it IS a gambling app under its umbrella term of "Prediction Market".
- Most losses seem to be from the Sports side.
- You can start @ 18, only 7 states out of 50 in the US allow you to gamble @ 18 (but its a prediction market, NOT gambling, right?).
- Regulated by federally by the CFTC instead of State gambling commissions because they dodge State taxes, Licenseing Fees, and Gambling Protections (ways to contact people on the outside for addiction help TO gambling)
This is built off the working class and down's backbone, multiple users have reported losing upwards to 50k USD on this website, you are essentially being funded with blood money. Take that as you will.
