Network effects à la railroads and telegraph - but uncapped geographically, both in terms of supply and demand, and state intervention.

Desalination is a good example of the “consequences of AI” thesis.
Water is obviously critical, but current generation desalination uses a prohibitive amount of energy.
As AI-led infrastructure spend brings down the cost of electricity, and technology makes desalination more efficient, the opportunity gets larger.

another cracked swedish founder
We just launched @strawberry's pre-beta – it's a browser that contains your very own team of AI interns that you can teach to your grunt work.
Here's me spinning up hundreds of parallel research agents to augment sheet data, right in the browser.

Damn, Stockholm keeps dropping crazy AI apps
Finally a browser where I don't need to have 100s of open tabs
Congrats my friend @charles_maddock & team – at Stockholm, Sweden

"Europe has no systemic track record of building large, successful tech companies with a global footprint—Spotify and Revolut being rare, anecdotal exceptions."
- From a post on Linkedin about Project Europe
One of Europe's larger problems is that the employees who grow Europe's tech unicorns end up trapped by their income.
If their company exits, their only option to sustain that lifestyle is to work for a corporate that can match their salary.
Time and time again, valuable experience is washed out of the industry because employees aren't given enough of the upside to risk joining another startup or founding their own.
This is an anchor on progress, as even great companies have to relearn old lessons about growth, localisation and expansion across borders — all significant challenges, particularly in Europe.
It doesn't have to be this way, and there are exceptions to prove it. e.g. @RevolutApp alumni are now responsible for founding 100+ startups, and funding 60+ startups (see below, from Vladislav Solodkiy).
Europe needs more Revoluts. More Klarnas, Datadogs, Shopifys, etc.
In a deeper, systematic sense, this is an employee stock compensation problem — and Europe MUST do better. As a nearer-term opportunity, it's an expertise problem.
@ProjectEurope_ can address both of these shortfalls: Driving operational experience into a generation of founders, creating huge outcomes which distribute knowledge and capital into the next.
The virtuous cycle that European tech needs.
A boom loop.

Our web agent demos are never sped up – we use caching to get blazing fast speeds.
This benchmark showcases same @DendriteSystems code but with and without caching. The speed difference is huge!

“It works, but only when practiced at small scale” is such an interesting sentiment, and counter-intuitive; you would assume it’s way easier to find fair businesses at wonderful prices, than wonderful businesses… at any price, really.
The biggest difference between repeat founders and first timers is the amount of time spent on step 1+2 before building anything of substance 😀 And they most likely change the order of 3 and 4, if monetizing directly.

@alitamaseb love the book! 🔥 Trying to understand how you define “tier-one” investor, but can’t seem to find it. 🙏🏻
(“…60 percent had raised their first round of financing from tier-one (brand-name)…”)
Someone pointed out that with 20% of the control group being funded by T1 it seems the T1 definition is rather generous? 😃
@alitamaseb Realized I never got any clarity in terms of how you defined "T1" 😬 Any chance you could shed some light on this?

It's remarkable how many startups not only survived Covid, but were jolted by the shock of it into doing important new things. I would not have expected that.

The phrase “a robot hand drawing” is ambiguous — is it a drawing of a robot hand, or is it a robot hand drawing something? DALL-E interpreted it as both simultaneously. If a human came up with this, you would think they were incredibly clever nitter.cf/becomingcritter/status…
