1/? Thank you. I agree. I think it’s important to adjudicate this - regardless of ruling. Do the Trustees owe a duty to the university or the public that elected them? My friend @jtmsunw spoke at the BOT and talked about the culture of silence being alive and well…
“The people of Michigan elected Michael to be a watchdog, not a lapdog,” an attorney at FIRE said. “The freedom to voice opposition strengthens the university by encouraging ideas to be challenged and solutions to be worked out.” michiganadvance.com/2026/10/…
"But I do have to say we can't keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result," Scott said. "We have got to start thinking outside the box..."
Too bad #BriannaTScott wasn't talking about sexual assaults by #MSU doctors.

Instead, the #MSUboard majority seems to be shrugging off recent accusations of sexual assault by an employee with “well, you can’t stop everything.” In 2018, w/Nassar, it was “well, it’s just one bad guy.” History repeats, down to KG’s repeat of “we’ve made SO many changes.”
In 2021, @BriannaTScott passed her Title IX case reviews to others for review. Now, she is attacking Rema Vassar for questioning the lack of policy/process on a board Scott chairs. #Hypocrisy Https://statenews.com/articl…

How about this professionalism from @BriannaTScott? Is this a statement on behalf of @michiganstateu BOT or did she violate the Code of Ethics with this?

I also find it funny that this is her last tweet on here. Yet another CoE violation
After EIGHT years in office, Brianna T. Scott has nothing to offer about current Nassar 2.0 sexual assault case besides “There are things we’re learning from this.” Kelly Tebay says rape can’t be stopped. Have voters learned how much these trustees can cost the university?

NEW:
One would think a congressional report detailing allegations from 11 women tying Trump to a pedophile financier’s sex-trafficking scheme, with 5 women accusing the president of raping them, would lead to round-the-clock media coverage.
Well, you'd be wrong.

Legislators need to look at what the state’s universities are spending on attorney fees. This is obscene.
The University of Michigan hired Weil earlier this year (at almost $3k/hr for the most experienced lawyers) to represent the institution in the event ex-Sherrone Moore aide Paige Shiver files a sweeping lawsuit against the school freep.com/story/sports/colle…
“MSU trustees are statewide elected officials who work for the public,” Attorney Rob Edwards told The State News. “Their job is to oversee Michigan State University, not act as its public relations department.”

This is Brianna T. Scott. She is running for the #MSU board on Nov. 3. She just personally attacked yet another trustee. Will it cost the university another $2 million?
Odd thing to advertise: Sexual Assault Survivor. Especially for someone who has had 8 years to make change at #MSU after Nassar. Now she says in State News “we can’t prevent everything from happening” in face of Nassar 2.0 case.
The tone is set from the top. Incumbent Trustee Kelly Tebay recently told students, “We also have to remember we can’t prevent everything from happening.” What victim would want to report to #MSU with that attitude at the top?
The school had a legal obligation under the state Public Health Code to alert the state licensing department within 30 days.

#MSU has had 10 years to do the right things. They have continued to focus on reputation instead of reform.
“… it’s almost like a decade of our lives wasted, and effort and pain and time, resources that now they just are almost meaningless because MSU didn’t do the basic right thing.” — @vvonfrank
