I've been localising a lot of my apps recently, and the most painful part: Updating the text in all my existing English screenshots. So I made an open source Claude skill that does it for me. Select your languages from a list, drop your existing screenshots in, Claude will give you the translations to double check, hit go and all the screenshots are generated, in up to 20 languages. 💰iOS app earnings: April 🎯 Goal: $150 💰 Earnings: $180 Smashed through the goal for April. So now I need a new target for May and feel $200 is too low so let’s go for $250 I have another app being released next week that I’m hopeful will contribute well to my total earnings.

Ive been asked recently why I share all my earnings and apps on here with everyone. The truth is, I’ve decided to share all my progress on X and on my blog because I wish I had the same blog by someone else when I first started. I wish I had someone tell me that one app wouldn’t make me rich. I wish I’d had someone’s earnings to look at so I knew what to expect. I wish I could find someone talking about micro apps and running experiments to see if they worked, as well as results from split test. I’m writing articles that I would have wanted to read when I started. Remember, the harder it gets, the better it is for you because most people won’t follow you. I wanted to share a realistic view, not the “£200k MRR from a single app in three months” crap. I hope that satisfies as an answer. Somewhere there is a Chris from a year and a half ago reading the blog and using it to get started faster than I did ❤️

Tomorrow I get the honour of sharing what I’ve been working on with the world. When @GetAscendApp goes live tomorrow, it will be a big moment for me. It’s not just another app going live for me, it’s an app that I hope will help people. As coders/engineers, we are often misconstrued as being lazy, idle and introvert. But here is what I know about us. We have the ability to make someone’s life easier just by doing what we love, we can make things with our bare hands and brain. We can literally build our own mountains, and climb them. I hope you achieve what you want. From tomorrow, I will have a small break and then you’ll find me on my staircase, catching my breath as I try to conquer Everest, one of my 2023 goals.
