“My dear, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend left us. Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley.” (Dan Gilroy on Shelley’s passing) 1949 – 2024 💗

I’m heartbroken to hear about the passing of the beautiful bright Shelley Duvall. Faerie Tale Theatre was a huge part of my childhood, it’s what introduced me to the bright bubbly lovely Duvall. May she find peace, love, and light.

Farewell, to my sweet Shelley. This is a post I always feared making and I’m so unfathomably heartbroken, but please know Shelley was immensely loved and cared for. She made such a positive impact on my life as I did on hers. ❤️

Altman’s “Popeye” (1980) has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid. Watched it again a few months back… it’s such a lovely, odd movie. Shelley Duvall and Robin Williams are simply perfect. Heartbreaking to think we’ve lost them both. ❤️

Incredible that for the better part of 30 years they couldn’t figure out how to make “guy who wears sunglasses” seem cool
Why the fuck has Cyclops never once done anything as cool as this in the movies

Marvel Fanfare #40 (Oct 1988), in which Mystique (disguised as Storm) meets Storm in a nightclub to ask for the X-Men’s help in finding her daughter, Rogue. One of the best comics I’ve ever read.

Every October for the last 3 years I’ve made Over the Garden Wall fan art. This year’s piece is inspired by the tavern folk in “Songs of the Dark Lantern”—

What “Logan timeline?” Why is anyone pretending the Fox X-Men franchise had a coherent continuity? Patrick Stewart had death scenes as Professor X in FOUR DIFFERENT MOVIES
Hugh Jackman assures fans that 'Deadpool 3' won't 'screw with the 'Logan' timeline' 'Because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines, now we can go back because, you know, it's science' (via @SIRIUSXM | youtu.be/nMfglCeZ0tc)

In a world where fandoms rarely see eye to eye, Kevin Conroy was pretty much one of the few things we all agreed on. He was THE voice, and he will be missed for a long, long time. Rest in peace, Dark Knight.
