Perhaps the best way to avoid security issues is to start removing code and slimming down our dependencies.

I'm over here researching how to disable the locking mechanism on my top loading washer. My older washer never had this "feature" and boy I miss it.

Elections can't come fast enough so I can stop getting fucking spammed from campaigns. Good god, just leave me alone, I'm not voting for you.

The employee in question
We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work. At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated. We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

Wish I could mute people in certain Slack channels like you can in discord.

@mitsuhiko do you have a short demo of codemode? I have read the blog posts on it and I feel like I may be a bit stupid about what has changed from pre 1.0 to now.

Nevermind, I figured it out. Turns out I just needed to point at gpt and observe the work being done. Neat.

Gonna be real funny if we start moving back to assembly for programs since we "don't need to read the code" anymore.

Found out that @WarrenInTheBuff is stepping down from Berkrasoft. He's naming his son to replace him. He's expected to invest heavily in toy dinosaurs.

Do people _actually_ turn their monitors vertical to program?

Since we are using LLMs, do we REALLY need to point these tickets anymore? I mean really? ya the LLM thinks it's gonna take 3 weeks to implement, but I'm about to crack the whip and make it implement it in 3 minutes.

Agents writing code is great, but it’s all the other stuff that keeps making me feel warm and fuzzy: - rebasing and resolving conflicts - explaining a PR at any level of depth - testing a feature in your browser - clearing my browser history when I accidentally search “gonads”
