It can’t be easy for Trump: he wants competent people but requires sycophants. Not a lot of overlap in that Venn diagram.
Percentages can be misleading. From this graph alone you could hypothesize that there were far too few admins in 1985 just as well as you could that there is admin bloat.
I think Trump’s border wall needs to get a lot higher…
⚡️ Ukrainian forces evacuate injured soldier from front-line position by drone in 'first-of-its-kind' mission, video shows.
The operation involved Ukraine's 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and 10th Army Corps, along with Ukrainian drone manufacturer Gurzuf Defense.kyivindependent.com/ukrainia…
Has he not seen all of the equally showy drone and robot presentations in China? Tesla could have spent this energy developing a car to compete with BYD, instead they used it to create a buzzy demonstration of a function that, imho, has no practical use or consumer market.
On the basis of qui bono and follow the money, I’m starting to think that @marceelias is actually behind the 2020 election denial. How many hours has he billed on this topic?
🚨BREAKING: Georgia’s Republican-controlled election board invited the Department of Justice (DOJ) Thursday to declare the state’s voting system unlawful before the upcoming midterm elections. democracydocket.com/news-ale…
GOP line forever has been that government can never create wealth, and that tax revenues specifically are not wealth creation.
Before the war Trump routinely bragged that gas was less than $2. On his own terms, he’s raised the cost ~2.5x
Breaking News: Oil prices surged, hitting a fresh wartime high amid concerns the war in Iran could escalate with no resolution in sight. nyti.ms/48yMKeT
If true, this isn’t journalism. I’m sure the reporter thinks they are acting ethically, but this is exactly the sort of behavior that fuels a lack of faith in the institution.
One note on the Swalwell stuff - (this isn’t confirmed) but a reporter with Politico was working on verifying the rumors on Swalwell when he was running for President. (he’s no longer with the publication) Two days before he was scheduled to sit down with this reporter Swalwell dropped out of the race. The energy disappeared to potentially take him out, the victims if they were even willing to go on the record never did. He slithered back to his safe house seat. December 2025 was too early to take down Swalwell we had to wait til his paperwork was ALL IN running for governor March 2026, so the head of the snake could be chopped off and he had no safe house seat to slither back to this time. Hate the strategy fine, but for folks unsure if this would work, we had to make sure he couldn’t get away like he did in 2020.
Trump has a true gift for identifying sycophancy in perennial back benchers and elevating them far above what talent would allow.
There are a lot of bad actors on the political scene, in both parties, but @SpeakerJohnson deserves special criticism. It's hard to think of a person who has so completely abdicated a crucial role, while spewing constant, corrosive, untruths.
I know little about the Iranian people, but it seems lthere are a lot of them who could be solid American allies if we support them overthrowing the theocratic government but will quickly turn to enemies if we destroy their civilian infrastructure and then walk away.
Remember when the power of the purse belonged to Congress, not the president? Ah memories.
SCOOP: Trump will sign an executive order at 5pm, cracking down on mail-in voting across the country, @DailyCaller has learned.
The executive order will require the admin to create a list of confirmed U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote in each state. It will also mandate that absentee ballots only be sent to those on each state's approved mail-in ballot list. Ballots will now have specific secure envelopes, with unique barcodes for tracking.
States who disobey the order may lose federal funds under the presidential action.
Empathy for him and his family? Seems like the billions they’re grifting off his presidency should be enough to assuage their hurt feelings, especially since Trump actually did most of the things he was being prosecuted for.
WELKER: Do you think it's appropriate for the president to celebrate the death of a Bronze Star, Purple Heart recipient who served in Vietnam?
BESSENT: Neither one of us can understand what has been done to the president and his family
WELKER: But is it appropriate for the president to celebrate the death of any American citizen?
BESSENT: Give what has been done to President Trump and his family, it is impossible for either of us to understand what he's been through
WELKER: So you don't think there's anything wrong with a post saying, 'Good. Robert Mueller's dead'?
BESSENT: We should have empathy for what's been done to the president and his family
Replying to @Rory_Johnston
Remember back when the US had a strategic helium reserve? ~1 Billion cubic feet stored under a rock dome somewhere in Texas, till our farsighted congress decided it was more prudent to sell it off? Good times.
All situations have the same plan B: declare victory and blame Biden
Trump’s Plan A was to hit Iran hard, watch the theocrats flee, and then hand power to a government of his own choosing. Should such things not come to pass, Plan B was … well, apparently, there was no Plan B.
