Super Typhoon Champi is the strongest tropical cyclone of 2026 so far, based on peak wind speed. 🌀 It rapidly intensified to the east of the Philippines. The system will weaken as it moves towards the northwest in the coming days, but it will impact parts of Japan's Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan later this week. #SuperTyphoonChampi #TyphoonChampi
