The biggest crypto hack in history. US$6.4 BILLION stolen from Binance.
One of the biggest financial thefts ever recorded.
Bitcoin? Down roughly 5%.
Google? One of the world’s biggest blue-chip stocks, down 12.6% in ONE DAY.
Berkshire Hathaway, chaired by Warren Buffett, held a US$37.8 BILLION stake in Alphabet at June’s end.
Different events. Same turbulent market.
And Bitcoin, supposedly the volatile, risky asset, is showing remarkable resilience.
The exchange was hacked. The Bitcoin protocol wasn’t.
Imagine what happens when confidence returns and liquidity improves.
I’m bullish. Very bullish.

While Aussies battled rising rates and living costs, this Bitcoin strategy tells an interesting story.
Maybe it’s time we questioned how we protect our purchasing power.

Today's decision by the RBA was widely expected, but that doesn't make it any easier for families and businesses.
It's difficult news for many Australians who are already paying a hefty price for circumstances outside their control.
We take responsibility for our part of the fight against inflation, which is why we're finding savings at the same time as we roll out relief.
A good friend and mentor,
This morning.
“Trust nobody. Stay skeptical.”
That challenged me.
Bitcoin makes you think
Bloody hard.
I find learning to be aware of your ego and stay open minded is just as challenging as securing your bitcoin lately 🤔
Being frustrated drives further desire to understand yourself more than sound money itself.

Ignorance is bliss when it comes to understanding something.
More often than not your ego gets in the way.
"Bitcoin isn't safe. Look at the Binance hack."
Let me translate that for you.
"Someone robbed the jewelry store, so gold is a scam."
Bitcoin wasn't hacked.
The protocol didn't blink.
An exchange got caught holding everyone's keys in one shoebox.
That's not a Bitcoin problem.
That's a custody problem with a company.
Hold your own keys.
Or keep lining up at the jewelry store.
🚨 THE BIGGEST FINANCIAL LOSS DOESN’T MAKE THE HEADLINES.
A Bitcoin exchange gets hacked and the world goes into a frenzy.
But what about the silent erosion of your purchasing power, year after year?
Australia targets 2–3% inflation.
At just 2.5% annually, $80,000 loses approximately $17,500 in purchasing power over 10 years if wages never increase.
No breaking news. No screaming headlines. Just the slow erosion of what your hard-earned money can buy.
We exchange our time and energy for money. Shouldn’t we be questioning what happens to its value?
2026 has been bloody hard for Bitcoin. But our conviction hasn’t changed.
We see Bitcoin as a hedge against monetary debasement. Not a guarantee. Not a risk-free investment. But an alternative to a system we believe deserves far more scrutiny.
Exchanges can be hacked. Bitcoin’s network is a different thing entirely.

Everyone's losing their minds over the Binance hack.
Fair. Watching your coins sit frozen in someone else's hot wallet is its own special hell.
But the biggest hack in finance didn't happen Thursday.
It happens every year.
To every dollar in your savings account.
On purpose.
With a 2% target.
No scare headlines.
No breach report.
No apology.
Just the government calling it price stability.
One hack you avoid by holding your own keys.
The other you can only escape.

Bloody Kim is at it again ….
WHAT THE BINANCE HACK TEACHES YOU
Bitcoin held on an exchange is not Bitcoin you control. It’s a Bitcoin IOU.
Crypto is not the same as Bitcoin. Many tokens are programmable assets issued or controlled by centralised foundations and companies.
Stablecoins are not Bitcoin. They can be frozen for good or bad reasons.
Large crypto exchanges are not FDIC-insured banks. Their crypto balances are not protected by FDIC deposit insurance.
Binance created its own insurance-style emergency fund, SAFU, because it cannot rely on being too big to fail.
Banks, on the other hand, can become too big to fail, socialising losses while privatising gains.
Self-custody comes with different risks.
Social engineering tricks you into taking an action that compromises your keys.
Compromised devices, malicious software and insecure seed phrase generation can expose your Bitcoin without you realising it.
Wrench attacks introduce another risk: physical violence or coercion to force you to surrender your keys.
Self-custody removes counterparty risk, but makes you responsible for managing your own security.
AI is accelerating cyber threats across everything, not just exchanges and crypto.
You have no choice but to get good at security.
It’s the world we’re moving into, and we’re never going back.
Securing your own keys, money, identity and data is becoming one of the most important skills for surviving the future.
Start now if you want to be sovereign.
You have no choice but to take responsibility for your own security.
Oh yeah.
🇮🇱 Every hack is always North Korea. 😂
With all the fear, noise and speculation circulating on X right now…
Let’s not confuse the risks of exchanges with the risks of owning Bitcoin itself.
They’re two very different things. ₿

🏦 WHO REALLY CONTROLS YOUR MONEY?
🇦🇺 Australia: Westpac announces $10K monthly limits on crypto exchange payments.
🇺🇸 America: JPMorgan offers Bitcoin ETFs and forecasts 10% annual BTC returns over the next decade.
🇪🇺 Europe: Developing a central bank digital currency.
Three different approaches to the future of money.
But here’s my question.
Are we moving towards greater financial freedom, or simply different forms of financial control?
Bitcoin offers another option.
Self-custody. Peer-to-peer transactions. No central bank controlling its supply.
₿ Your keys. Your money. Your choice.

Big move from Westpac today! From December, customers face a $10k monthly limit on payments to crypto exchanges.
Potential winner if other banks follow: Crypto ETFs like EBTC and EETH, which aren’t subject to the same limit.
Crypto ETFs were among the worst performers in our latest ETF report. But if returns turn around, we could see strong inflows return.

While we already had an inflation challenge in our economy, the conflict in the Middle East is making it worse.

We are playing our part in the fight against inflation by finding savings.

45 minutes driving to work, listening to macroeconomics.
Bonds, yields, inflation, the Fed, government debt.
I love learning about it. Do I retain it all? Not even close.
But here’s what I do understand.
I’m driving to work to earn fiat that’s continually losing purchasing power, so I can buy Bitcoin with a supply nobody can inflate.
I don’t need to predict the next Fed move.
I just need to keep learning, earning and stacking.
Buy. Stack. Chill. ₿
