This controversy is absolutely nuts. The Mao revisionism is *wild*, with state media demanding that foreigners bend the knee to an excrescence who killed tens of millions of their own ancestors. This ridiculous headline, together the humiliating capitulation of the sports world. Mbappe said something that anyone who has had a passing glance at history knows: Mao was not merely a dictator, but the biggest killer of the last century. In case anyone was wondering about PRC influence in sport, you have your answer. And in case anyone was wondering about how quickly “private” Chinese companies (sponsors) can be mobilised to do the bidding of the Party State, voilá. Getting the picture yet? This is the Whole-of- State approach in action people. Everything is the Party, and nothing can challenge it.
Major brands in China have dropped Kylian Mbappé over a clip in which the French football megastar appeared to mock Mao Zedong, China’s modern founding leader. vist.ly/5q5xz

Chinese people seem to be having a hard time grasping the fact that in the West don’t give a fuck about others mocking our past or even present leaders. We do it all the time ourselves. We don’t worship people here, especially not mass murderers.

International soccer star @KMbappe should not apologize for calling Mao Zedong a dictator. Mao was a dictator, and by orders of magnitude, he did more harm to the Chinese people than a comment from a soccer player ever could. Mao was the leader of the CCP for decades and his dictatorship and disastrous policies killed tens of millions of Chinese people in the Cultural Revolution, the Great Famine, and other atrocities. Involved in the Party from its first national meeting in 1921, Mao is the principal historical figure for a Party that continues his practices of oppression and ideological purges. For decades, the CCP has denied the Chinese people basic human rights including freedom of expression and freedom of religion. These are rights enjoyed by Mbappe and millions of people around the world and Mbappe should exercise this opportunity to tell the horrific truth about Mao’s dictatorship. The real disgrace in this news story is the companies rushing to apologize so they can continue to do business in China. The CCP is the largest oppressor of the Chinese people and their human rights, and those businesses that work with the CCP help normalize its crushing brutality. reuters.com/business/media-t…

I was mid-hip thrust when I found out @Shanemgillis had called me a whore. Technically I found out four hours later, when I reviewed the footage of Saturday Night Live. My tripod was on the bench, my ring light was clamped to the squat rack and my boyfriend Tanner was holding the back-up phone for the side angle. Tanner films all my content. He is not allowed to look at me. The “joke” was about how women dress at the gym. I know it was about me, because everything is. So I did what any survivor would do. I went to my car and filmed myself crying. It took 11 takes, because the lighting in a Range Rover is unforgiving, and grief is no excuse for a bad shot. In the final cut, you can see a single tear land on my sports bra right over the logo, which clicks through to an affiliate link. My caption: “I’m literally shaking.” Then I put on the shortest shorts I own, went back inside, and filmed my ass from three angles with the caption, “Does this outfit work for you, Shane Gillis?” I wanted to send him a message that my body is not for men. To make sure Shane got the message, I tagged him. Then I tagged every man I follow. Some people say my response proved his point. These people are rapists. ✍️ @BridgetPhetasy Article: spectator.com/article/shane-…

I sat my 7-year-old down and explained to him that dying industries (legacy media, academia, DNC politics) ride algorithmically driven cultural hysterias both because it’s the only way they can stay relevant and because their business models demand it. He looked up at me and with a tear in his eyes asked, ‘so, for the sake of the journos, the assistant professors, and Dem Politics Inc, we’re obligated to attest to the moral urgency of the hysteria and act completely emotionally dysregulated?’ ‘Yes,’ I answered him. ‘Yes, that’s right.’ And then we both sat quietly.

It’s just as likely the attempted hijacker was tired of waiting for GTA6.
According to The New York Times, hijacking a plane full of people of a very specific identity and trying to crash it into the ground is not necessarily terrorism, and it can be chalked up to a mental health issue. Real winners over there.

In response to the clip going around with the African lady saying 'WHAT WHITE CULTURE!?!' Because I can explain it in more detail than anyone else... here are the main things that create western civilisation. The principle, the law of nature that is an adaptation to and what operation it creates in our civilisation. THE WESTERN CIVILISATION STACK Western civilisation can be understood as a set of adaptations to the laws of nature that allow millions of people to cooperate, solve problems and innovate together. 1. SOVEREIGNTY — Let people act. Law of nature: Knowledge and ability are distributed among individuals. No ruler or institution can know everything everyone knows. Sovereignty gives people freedom to choose, experiment and solve problems for themselves. That creates millions of independent problem-solvers instead of waiting for one authority to find the answer. 2. RECIPROCITY — Don’t impose your costs on others. Law of nature: Cooperation survives when it benefits both sides. Freedom cannot mean freedom to steal, defraud, injure or force others to carry your costs. Reciprocity means pursuing your interests while respecting the same right in others. It turns conflict into cooperation and makes peaceful life among strangers possible. 3. RESPONSIBILITY — Make people accountable for consequences. Law of nature: Every action produces consequences. Freedom works when the person making a decision also bears responsibility for its results. When people can keep the benefits of their choices while forcing the costs onto others, cooperation breaks down. Responsibility reconnects choice with consequence. 4. PROPERTY — Make control and consequences clear. Law of nature: Resources are scarce and cannot satisfy every competing use at once. Property establishes who controls something, who may use or exchange it, and who bears the consequences of those decisions. That reduces conflict, encourages people to improve what they possess, and makes investment and long-term planning possible. 5. TRUTH — Correct error faster than reality punishes you for it. Law of nature: Reality does not change because we believe something false. Truthful testimony, open criticism and evidence allow people to discover mistakes before those mistakes become catastrophes. A civilisation that can criticize and correct itself can learn faster than one that protects comforting falsehoods. 6. CONTRACT — Make cooperation possible across time. Law of nature: Cooperation requires predictable future behaviour. Promises backed by reputation and law allow strangers to trust one another enough to cooperate. Contract lets one person invest today because another can credibly promise performance tomorrow. That makes enormous networks of specialization, trade and investment possible. 7. RULE OF LAW — Replace arbitrary power with predictable rules. Law of nature: People have conflicting interests, and power creates opportunities for predation. Law provides a common procedure for resolving disputes without violence or personal rule. When rulers and citizens are both constrained by known rules, people can cooperate, invest and experiment without constantly fearing arbitrary interference. 8. DUE PROCESS — Test accusations instead of trusting authority. Law of nature: Human beings are biased, mistaken and sometimes dishonest. An accusation is not proof. Evidence, defense, confrontation, impartial judgment and appeal create an adversarial process for discovering error. Due process protects both society from wrongdoing and individuals from arbitrary punishment. 9. DECENTRALISATION — Let many solutions compete. Law of nature: No one knows in advance which adaptation will work best. Families, firms, towns, institutions and governments can try different solutions to different problems. Failures can remain local while successful solutions spread. Decentralisation therefore turns society itself into a continuous experiment. 10. MARKETS — Let reality select among competing solutions. Law of nature: Evolution advances through variation, selection and retention. Markets allow people to try different products, services and ways of organising resources. People select among them through voluntary choice. Successful solutions attract resources; unsuccessful ones disappear or improve. Markets turn millions of choices into continuous social learning. 11. SPECIALISATION — Let differences become advantages. Law of nature: People differ in knowledge, ability, resources and circumstances. Instead of everyone doing everything badly, specialization lets people become exceptionally good at different things and exchange the results. Cooperation converts human differences from a source of conflict into a source of increasing productivity. 12. SCIENCE — Institutionalise error correction. Law of nature: A false model eventually fails when tested against reality. Science turns doubt into a productive institution: observe, propose, test, criticize, replicate and correct. Knowledge therefore does not have to depend upon authority or tradition. Every generation can discover where the previous generation was wrong and build upon what it got right. 13. CAPITAL — Preserve successful adaptations. Law of nature: Progress compounds only when successful adaptations survive. Tools, businesses, infrastructure, institutions and knowledge allow yesterday’s successful experiments to become tomorrow’s starting point. Each generation does not begin again from zero. It inherits accumulated solutions and adds another layer. 14. EDUCATION — Transfer accumulated knowledge between generations. Law of nature: Individuals die; knowledge does not have to. Writing, schools, apprenticeships and universities allow discoveries to survive their discoverers. Instead of every generation rediscovering mathematics, engineering, medicine and law, it begins with thousands of years of accumulated learning. 15. COMMONS — Build things that make everyone more capable. Law of nature: Cooperation can produce benefits no individual could produce alone. Courts, roads, standards, security, scientific knowledge, infrastructure and trustworthy institutions multiply everyone's ability to act. A successful civilisation does more than protect private interests: it continually creates shared capital that makes future cooperation cheaper and more productive. THE RESULT These principles form a system: Sovereignty creates experimentation. Reciprocity makes it peaceful. Responsibility makes it sustainable. Property makes interests clear. Truth corrects error. Contract creates trust across time. Law suppresses predation. Decentralisation preserves alternatives. Markets select successful solutions. Specialisation multiplies productivity. Science accelerates discovery. Capital preserves what works. Education transmits it. Commons multiply everyone's capabilities. That is the deeper logic of the Western stack: Stable rules + distributed freedom + relentless error correction = cooperation at scale and accelerating innovation.

Every unhinged “American” who is calling for the downfall of their own country should watch this interview.
“I don’t have this story without faith,” says Bravo, the U.S. Air Force officer who was rescued from Iran. “I am not saying faith is [a] replacement for training,” he says. “Training helps us understand what we do. But faith is the backstop of all of my actions.” cbsn.ws/4xjxqfB

Juror Paula Devlin certainly seems to be enjoying her press tour. With every interview, she’s telling the public that her decision wasn't based solely on the evidence. She is openly and proudly talking about the broader significance she believes this case has for women. And what exactly is the outcome she hopes this case will produce? That women who commit horrific crimes will face a different standard because of “feelings” and “mental health”? That somehow this represents progress for women? That abortion "rights" will expand to children outside of the womb? These jurors have a lot of nerve accusing the holdout of “not understanding the assignment” when their own statements prove that THEY had no interest in applying the judge's instructions. Their job wasn’t to make history. It wasn’t to advance a cause. It wasn’t to deliver a verdict they believed would benefit women. Or to shut down an argument because it hurt their feelings. It was to evaluate the evidence, fulfill their job description as a juror, and determine whether the legal standard had been met. Cora, Dawson and Callan deserved that - the murdered children these women are determined to forget. Listening to some of these interviews, it's clear that these women were more interested in an opportunity to secure themselves as champions for women, rather than simply applying the law. And based on what they have said about their own deliberations, they have absolutely no business lecturing the lone holdout about failing to understand what was being asked of him. They were FAR worse than the guy who simply wanted them to remember the babies whose lives were taken. And it's not even close.
“We knew that this was a turning point, and this would be something that could change something to make it better for other women” Juror’s statement on the murder of three small children. She is saying the quiet part out loud.

I have no idea what this ghoul is hinting at. Does she essentially want post-natal abortions or something? “Their ideal future”: On your 18th birthday you can vote, you register for the draft, and you get a certificate saying your mom can no longer “abort” you.
During her next media tour stop, juror Paula Devlin says the mostly female jury knew the Lindsay Clancy trial could create change to “make it better for other women.” “We knew that this was a turning point, and this would be something that could change something to make it better for other women…”

It’s going to be very telling watching the zombified Left reckon with the fact that the lone Black man prevented a struggling mother from getting the postpartum care she needs. When you don’t have morality or principles, how do you handle that?

These juror interviews are extraordinary. They are admitting openly that they disregarded the law entirely for the sake of letting Clancy off the hook. There’s no other way to read it. One juror says she originally wanted to vote guilty but changed her mind so that “Lindsay could get the help she needs.” That is a clear violation of the law. They were supposed to make a determination solely about guilt or innocence. They were not there to make sure anyone “gets help.” Another juror says she voted not guilty because the prosecution never produced “character witnesses” proving Clancy was a “bad mother.” The problem is that A) killing your children IS definitive evidence that you’re a bad mother, and B) the prosecution would not have been allowed to call those kinds of witnesses. A witness solely testifying that Clancy was a bad mother would have been purely prejudicial. So this juror acquitted because the prosecution failed to provide evidence that they weren’t allowed to provide and which would have been irrelevant anyway. Extraordinary. This same juror even admitted that it was a “fact” that Clancy “viciously killed her children.” The word vicious literally means “done maliciously and with intent.” So if that’s a fact then they were obligated to vote guilty. But they didn’t. Meanwhile another juror swooned over the defense attorney’s “entertaining” demeanor. And another one said that all of the facts of the case — “everything,” her words — “proved” that Clancy “loved her children.” Apparently strangling your children to death, in this juror’s mind, does not at all call your love for them into question. Just a collection of the most morally obtuse idiots ever assembled. Amazing.
