This seems like a great time to reshare my favourite Sir Patrick Stewart performance, ‘What has the ECHR ever done for us?’ It’s just perfect in every possible way … including the ending 😂😂😂 RIP. 🎥 The Guardian

The stated position of the Trump administration is that the President of Russia is a humanitarian and that the President of Ukraine should be removed from office. The American electorate have a chance to make their feelings about this known in less than two weeks.
U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff praised Russian President Vladimir Putin as "a humanitarian" following the release of U.S. citizen Stephen Hubbard on Wednesday. During a meeting in St. Petersburg, Witkoff thanked Putin for freeing the American — whom the U.S. government had declared wrongfully detained — and lauded the Russian autocrat, who ordered the ongoing full-scale invasion of Ukraine almost five years ago. Witkoff was in Russia as Trump administration and Russian officials were set to have talks focused on the Ukraine war.

We'll have a full analysis of the Conservatives' proposed inheritance tax cuts tomorrow. But, for now, three charts. 1. Who would benefit from the cuts?

Hi. 😊 Swedish dude here. When our children get sick, we have 60 paid days per year to stay home with them. Per parent. They're separate from my 25 paid vacation days. Meaning I don't have to use my own paid sick leave. If I'm a single parent: 120 days. If my child has a chronic illness: 120 days If my child is hospitalized: unlimited days. These days reset every January. By law. every year until child is 18. Follow for more glimpses into life in a social democracy, where dignity is not a privilege. Peace ✌🏼

‼️ WATCH: Extraordinary admission from Nigel Farage on #bbclaurak Reform’s £20,000 tax threshold was merely “an aspiration” written when the party “wasn’t going to win a single seat” and not a serious promise. So Reform knowingly offered voters promises it never expected to deliver. Now Farage proposes financing a smaller tax cut by removing benefits from British citizens, including people in work, while using migrants and people with anxiety as political cover. The insurgent mask is slipping. Beneath it lies the same old politics: divide ordinary people, cut their support and protect those with the money.

Good grief
The village gave the scarecrows their annual day out. Mr Lumpy, Chinwag & Little Billy were all allowed to shout at nobody in particular in the big city. They had a wonderful time! When they got back home they were put back in the fields with a glass of milk & some warm turnip.👨‍🌾

Calling North Korea "unthreatening and respectful" when they send missiles, shells, and troops to kill Ukrainians is a special kind of lunacy.

Byline Times has obtained leaked Reform UK internal training videos. Here's a jolly little thread of what Reform tells its own people, behind closed doors, when it thinks no one is watching...
