Hey City of Calgary. Let’s get this boulevard cleaned up. I have sent in several 311 tickets but nothing has been done. Not sure if this is City land or private. 85th St between Old Banff Coach Rd and 8th Ave SW @311calgary @cityofcalgary

Let’s never forget that when Air Canada was shut down, the other airlines didn’t help. They instead price gouged Air Canada’s customers. You could have gained customers for life, instead you price gouged them 4-5X the fare value. @WestJet this is despicable and short sighted.

The Canadian government asked an independent labor board to order more than 10,000 Air Canada flight attendants back to work, less than 12 hours into a strike that caused hundreds of flights to be canceled bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Imagine booking a Saturday flight with @AirCanada… and then finding out there’s a planned strike, but they won’t cancel, won’t confirm, and won’t communicate. Passengers are just left hanging. This isn’t customer service — it’s customer neglect. #AirCanadaStrike #TravelNightmare

CANADA HAS BECOME A TAX FARM: -Income taxes -Capital Gains -Payroll taxes -Sales taxes -Property taxes -Fuel taxes -Land transfer taxes -Alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis taxes -Vehicle-related taxes and fees -Customs duties & import taxes -Environmental and recycling fees -Corporate taxes -Luxury tax -Speculation and vacancy taxes -Probate fees -Regulatory fees (hunting, fishing, firearms, marriage licenses, birth/death certificates) -Air travel security charge & other transport surcharges -Park entrance fees (national/provincial parks) -Sin taxes (gambling levies, lottery taxes) AND THE LIBERALS WONT PUT TOGETHER A BUDGET?! WE PAY THE PRICE FOR EVERYTHING. NOTHING IS GOVERNMENT FUNDED. ITS TAXPAYER FUNDED. There should be a law: no budget, no taxes.

🔴 WANTED - CANADA-WIDE 🔴 Following a 16-month investigation by the Calgary Police Service (CPS) Professional Standards Section (PSS), a former Calgary police officer has been charged with breach of trust & misuse of a computer system. 📍 It is believed that between 2008 & 2023, the officer engaged in personal relationships with numerous women whom he had initial contact with through calls-for-service or police-related matters. It is alleged that the officer used police databases for a personal purpose to find & engage in further contact with the women, outside of his policing duties. 📍 The initial complaint was brought forward in July 2023. When the investigation revealed evidence in support of the allegations, the officer was suspended with pay in January 2024. The officer’s duty status continued to be assessed as the investigation progressed. He was suspended without pay in September 2024. Shortly after, the officer resigned from the CPS. It is believed that he has since left Canada & has not returned. As a result, charges have been laid by way of warrant & the radius of the warrant has been extended to include the whole of Canada. 🗨️ “To the women who were impacted by this individual & to Calgarians generally, I want you to know this is a serious situation that we will never take lightly. This was a CPS officer – someone who held a position of authority, someone you should have been able to trust. We have zero tolerance for these behaviours by police officers & will take every measure to protect the public & to hold those who engage in these activities to full account. This behaviour is not reflective of the values of our Service, nor the good work done by the majority of our members every day.” 🗨️ - CPS Chief Constable Mark Neufeld (@neufeld_mark) 📌 After consultation with the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service, Brett SINGER, 51, is charged with one count of breach of trust & one count of misuse of a computer system. He is described as approx. 6’ tall, 210 pounds, with blue eyes & brown hair. Constable SINGER was a 16-year member of the CPS prior to his resignation in September 2024. Anyone who believes they have received inappropriate contact of a personal nature by a police officer is encouraged to report such circumstances by contacting the PSS through either the public portal on our website, or by calling 403-428-5904. Information? ☎️ CPS: 403-266-1234 🛑 @StopCrimeYYC ⚖ Case #: CA24110648 | 3953 🌐 newsroom.calgary.ca/calgary-…

Homeowners face an average 5.5% tax increase next year—and for condo owners, it’s an even steeper 10.5%. I couldn’t support another increase in taxes. Instead of delivering real relief for families and businesses, the budget approved by the majority of #yyccc yesterday prioritizes bureaucracy over solutions. Alongside four of my colleagues, I brought forward several amendments to cut unnecessary spending—like reducing the $6.5M executive leadership budget and holding senior management accountable for extravagant travel expenses. Unfortunately, these were rejected. Calgarians deserve transparency. To fix this broken process, I proposed re-establishing the Finance and Budget Committee to ensure every dollar is accounted for and scrutinized. Again, the majority of this Council didn't want to roll up their sleeves and do this work. While I supported funding to keep the Inglewood Pool open, waiving patio fees for small businesses, and investing in critical services like public safety and infrastructure, Calgarians still want The City to do more with less while The City does less with more. I’ll continue fighting for responsible spending and transparent leadership. Calgarians deserve better. This isn’t over.
