youtu.be/CkP7hZvQ3dE My first video release of 2023! This is my arrangement of a beautiful theme from the Studio Ghibli universe - The Girl Who Fell from the Sky. Joe Hisaishi sure knows how to write a melody, and it was a joy getting this arranged in DADGAD. I hope you enjoy
My annual workshop over in Brittany, France, is now fully booked for next year. Just have the last couple of places available for the one Down South in February if anyone fancies joining us!
All info here: willmcnicol.co.uk/workshops/…
The College continues to be one of the most rewarding projects I've put together. I'm grateful to one of our students, Sam, for the lovely words below. If you're interested in joining us, now's a pretty decent time thanks to the Winter Sale I've got running at the moment…
There are also gift options so a guitarist in your life can receive the Welcome Pack email on Christmas Day =)

I hope you enjoy it - Charlie at Serissa Records has done a stellar job on the master - Jupiter (my guitar by Tom Sands Guitars) sounding suitably enormous!
I’ve partnered with the lovely label, Serissa Records, to release a collection of singles. The first is this - The River Snail. It’ll be landing on Spotify a week today 😊 You can follow me on Spotify by clicking here: spoti.fi/3AuMFYU
New studio room is coming together! I’ve spent a lovely day in the company of some stunning new guitars by my mate Tom Sands. Some sneak peaks of the sounds available now via my Patreon: patreon.com/willmcnicol
I’m so looking forward to joining forces with my doppelgänger, and all-round acoustic wizard @soenkemeinen for a little tour in Germany at the end of the month. New duets have been brewing as well - should be a corker! Any questions about any of the dates just drop me a line.
Some memories of a sublime Barock bis Rock 2022, Neuburg, Germany. Huge thanks to Helge Heinemann for the wonderful photos. Lovely to share the stage & hang with the likes of Jule Malischke, Sönke Meinen, Martin Moro and many more. Brill to be able to do this kind of thing again!
Hi folks, I’m having a lovely time over in Germany for the Barock bis Rock Festival. You can buy a ticket for the live-stream of tonight’s performance from here if you so fancy! barock-bis-rock.de
Lovely couple of gigs last week at Plymouth’s wonderful St Andrew’s then a very special live-streamed gig at Rose Cottage with @Ninebarrow (screenshot below)! Looking forward to popping over to Germany tomorrow for shows and workshops at Barock bis Rock festival in Neuberg!
It’s a hot one today folks! Hope you’re all managing to keep cool amongst it all. I’m gearing up for some lovely gigs and workshops over the coming months, and here they are in handy digital-poster form!
