Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5:
hackertube.org/
- Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session)
- Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads
- Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version
- HackerTube Longs ✊
A bit more on the process:
I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing.
Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.

Thank you so much for all the support. I'm getting an incredible amount of kind words every single day. Wow. Damn hahaha, I wasn't ready for this, but I'm loving every second of it.
I love building. I love coming up with unusual ideas and turning them into something real. I get my motivation from amazing people in this space. Shoutout to @WhiteWhaleLabs and the @SatRush team.
Huge thanks for this contest. I joined Satrush and started building. First, I built a bot. Then I built RushHub. But that still wasn't enough for me. I wanted to challenge myself with something more complex and unconventional.
I started thinking about a new mechanic. Everyone loves Gacha, and Solana has a huge NFT community. So I brought those two worlds together and created @SATOSHIBA_app , the first Gacha Mint project in the world. Or at least, maybe not the first, but I've never seen anything like it before.
The entire idea came straight out of my own head.
I was incredibly nervous on launch day. I was afraid I'd missed something, but I pushed through the fear, hit the launch button, and opened the website to everyone.
You have no idea how fast my heart was beating hahaha.
After just 2 days of being live:
Packs opened: 5,301
Miners: 124
Played: 2,719,137,700 $SATOSHIBA
≈ $218,300
Paid in prizes: 2,312,708,280 $SATOSHIBA
≈ $185,700
Dug by Shiba holders: 74,864,273 $SATOSHIBA
≈ $6,010
Locked in the Sat Rush treasury: 43,616,737 $SATOSHIBA
≈ $3,500
$RUSH burned: 15.64 $RUSH
≈ $1,250
Last 24h played: 419,401,700 $SATOSHIBA
≈ $33,700
Shibas found: 107 · holders: 38
Left in the machine: 193 · 3 Epics · 5 one-of-ones
How insane is that?
I've paid out $185,000 in prizes to users. WHAT? Hahahahaha. I still can't process these numbers. I can barely believe this actually worked, but I'm still here, building and improving.
And by the way, not a single dollar of that volume came from bots. These are entirely organic numbers, with zero artificial activity.
Hand on my heart, I can honestly say I haven't made a single dollar from this project.
I'm just an ordinary guy with an ordinary job making $500 a month. What the hell am I supposed to do with $185,000? Hahahahaha.
Sorry for the long post, any possible mistakes, or my thoughts being all over the place. I just wanted to share this with you.
I'll keep working hard and pushing $RUSH and $SATOSHIBA higher.
I'm convinced that if WW or another major team on @solana had launched this project, it could have achieved massive success, revived NFTs, and generated millions of dollars.
Gacha Mint is something new. Nobody else is doing this. Right now, it's only happening with Satoshiba. 🐕⛏️
A few thoughts about SATOSHIBA.
The first thing I would like to emphasize is that the dev is on their first experience with a similar project and is doing an incredible job. Something you would expect from a team of seasoned developers rather than a one man army.
Regarding the mechanics and the contest: SATOSHIBA is only 3 days old. It joined the contest very late compared to the start date, and without the volume multiplier from an initial tokens donation to the Sat Rush treasury, yet it is still printing incredible numbers and climbing the rankings.
The credit goes once again to the genius of the dev. This contest evaluates volume. The project has mechanics that ensure volume is secured.
And to wrap up, there’s the originality of the project itself, which more and more users are appreciating.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this token teleports to millions in market cap with a single candle.
I don’t know how the contest will end, I’ve built a small position in both projects (the other one is CATOSHI obviously).
What I do know is that we’ll hear more about SATOSHIBA and especially its dev, maybe with other projects in the future.
@toly @solanamobile it would be cool if they developed for the Seeker. Take a look at this project and you’ll understand why I’m saying it.
Talent must be acknowledged.

G*BOY Vinyls Have Shipped
Thank you for sticking with us through a wait that was far longer than we communicated. I’m sorry it took this long.
We made these because we wanted G*BOY in our homes, just like you wanted him in yours. I’m excited about how they came out, but that doesn’t change how badly we missed on getting them to you.
You deserved better from us. Thank you for your patience and for supporting G*BOY. We will learn from this and do better with future releases.

making a vertical series with tools like @runwayml, @figmaweave or @ComfyUI?
I’ve got a product for you to demo (ours!). we’re looking for creators who want to make their stories interactive.
DM me your work. access is limited. original IP gets priority.

We've been building exactly this while being fully open source and MIT licensed.
In Osaurus, you can build a team of agents where each one has its own memory, tools, and skills. An orchestrator can delegate work to them as sandboxed subagents. You can tie them together with Projects to share the same instructions, knowledge base, and memory across every chat.
Our harness is fully model agnostic (local or bring your own cloud key)

Most people don’t want to make their own games. I think the conversation about AI generation starts with the wrong assumption.
The experiments we are seeing are cool but the conclusion that if you give people the tools and they’ll make their own games, movies, and worlds seems wrong to me.
Very few people want to start with a blank page and build an entire experience. Most want to sit back and be entertained. That doesn’t mean they want the experience to be static.
People want worlds that respond to them. They want to choose, comment, vote, explore, and feel that their participation affects what happens next.
They already do this.
Love Island’s audience helps shape the season. People vote, make memes, follow the cast, and keep the conversation going between episodes. The experience is bigger than the show itself.
Social media works this way too. Creators read the comments, react to what’s trending, and bring back characters people love. What the audience does changes what gets made.
That loop is manual. AI generation could allow it to happen within the experience itself.
For a movie or an episode, production usually ends before the audience arrives. The story is fixed. What if production could continue as people participate?
A character could remember how people treated them. A story could respond to what the community is discussing. New scenes, challenges, or storylines could emerge while people are watching and playing.
Reaching the audience becomes the start of another round of production. People participate, the experience changes, and the story keeps evolving.
Netflix's Bandersnatch often comes up as evidence that people don’t want interactive entertainment while failing to recognize it performed extremely well it was just insanely expensive to create. Every path had to be written, shot, and edited in advance.
AI generation will change that. Creators could build experiences without having to produce every possible outcome before release.
That opens up room for light interactivity. Choose. Comment. Like. Vote. Explore. Small actions people already take could affect the media itself, without asking them to design a game or direct a movie.
The hard part is preserving the shared experience.
If everyone gets a completely different story, we lose the collective conversation that makes culture feel like culture. If everyone gets exactly the same thing, we leave much of the potential unused.
How can I have my own experience inside a world we’re all experiencing together?
That single-player/multiplayer dynamic is the part we need to get right. Which choices belong to me? Which ones affect everyone? What keeps us connected to the same world?
Creators will still establish the characters, worlds, rules, and taste. Audiences can participate as much or as little as they want, and their engagement can help shape what happens next.
That’s the kind of co-creation I’m interested in. A world we can experience and influence together.
The models are getting there. Now we need the tools to build these experiences and the platforms where people can participate.
