Many thanks to @basket_review and @brauf33 for coming to Boone, NC and doing a feature on @AppStateMBB
Shared success! #TakeTheStairs
Early in his App State tenure, Dustin Kerns had his staff list every reason they couldn’t win. Then they erased every excuse.
Now, the Mountaineers have become the Sun Belt’s most consistent winner.

Scott Satterfield has a really cool story about his mentor Jerry Moore.
Moore, who is 87, is a former Texas Tech HC and longtime Appalachian State HC. He drove from Boone, NC to watch the Bearcats take down Texas Tech, who fired him in 1985.

Dolly Parton’s duet of “When I Get Where I’m Going” with Brad Paisley hits a whole lot harder now that she’s gone.
When I get where I’m going
and I see my Maker’s face
I’ll stand forever in the light
of His amazing grace.
When get where I’m going
there’ll be only happy tears.
Hallelujah.

An apt day to remember that Dolly Parton once recorded a cover of Stairway to Heaven - and, in defiance of every moral law in the universe, she absolutely owned it.

One of the all-time great Rock Hall moments: Dolly’s “Jolene” with Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox, Simon Le Bon (Duran Duran), Pink, and Sheryl Crow. Zac Brown Band held it down as the house band.
Rest easy, Dolly 🤘

I told y’all I had something big planned for Carolina. One of the ways we’re helping is a benefit concert at Bank of America Stadium on Oct. 26th! This concert took so much planning, work, and coordination from so many people. I’m so thankful to everyone who helped make this a possibility on such short notice. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday and 100% of all proceeds will be going directly to those who need it most. For updates, details, and ways you can help, please visit concertforcarolina.com.

AMAZING GRACE: NC State AND Wake Forest Marching Band’s came together for a joint performance as a tribute to neighbors in Western NC impacted by Hurricane Helene. @WRAL

Due to a power outage, the football game versus Tennessee Tech today will be free of charge to interested fans. However, in lieu of ticket prices Gardner-Webb will be accepting canned food and donations to help those in need following Hurricane Helene.
