@FERC's @LauraSwettFERC highlighted the critical role of transmission incentives. She made clear FERC’s transmission rate decisions involve complex issues w/ significant impacts for financing projects, & that even small changes to utilities’ returns can have significant impacts.
Confused about the costs that make up an electric bill? Transmission & Your Electric Bill is a helpful resource that clarifies transmission's portion: ~15%, the lowest of the power components even as grid investment grows. A lot of value given the heavy lifting transmission does!
