Update: In the 27 months since Labour came to power, we've seen; • Employer National Insurance increased from 13.8% to 15%. • The employer NI threshold cut from £9,100 to £5,000. • The freeze on Income Tax and National Insurance thresholds extended to 2031. • Capital Gains Tax increased from 10% and 20% to 18% and 24%. • Business Asset Disposal Relief increased from 10% to 14%, then 18% – and now its lifetime limit halved to £500,000. • Investors’ Relief raised to 18% and its lifetime limit cut from £10 million to £1 million. • CGT relief on sales to Employee Ownership Trusts halved. • Carried interest taxation increased and moved into the Income Tax regime. • Dividend tax rates increased by two percentage points. • Savings-income tax rates increased by four percentage points. • Property-income tax rates increased by four percentage points. • VCT income tax relief cut from 30% to 20%. • Most unused pension funds brought into the Inheritance Tax net. • Agricultural and Business Property Relief capped. • Inheritance Tax thresholds frozen until 2031. • The non-dom regime replaced with a tougher residence-based system. • VAT imposed on private school fees. • Business-rates relief removed from private schools. • The Stamp Duty surcharge on second homes and buy-to-let raised from 3% to 5%. • The Furnished Holiday Lettings regime abolished. • A new annual surcharge on homes worth £2 million or more. • Pension salary-sacrifice NI relief capped at £2,000 a year. • The bank surcharge doubled. • Capital allowances for plant and machinery cut twice. • Online gaming duty almost doubled. • The Energy Profits Levy increased and extended, and its investment allowance scrapped. • Vaping Products Duty brought in and tobacco duties increased above inflation. • Vehicle Excise Duty increased for many new cars, with electric vehicles brought in. • A pay-per-mile tax on electric and plug-in hybrid cars legislated for 2028. • Air Passenger Duty increased. • Making Tax Digital extended to more landlords and self-employed people. Together they represent one of the biggest transfers of wealth from households and businesses to the Treasury in decades – with little to show for it in public services. Whether you're a business owner employing staff, a parent paying school fees, a farmer planning succession, an entrepreneur building wealth or simply someone trying to save for your family’s future... - You keep less of what you earn. - You keep less of what you invest. - You leave less for your family. Death by a thousand cuts.

Grimes has played 98 minutes tonight and done absolutely nothing to improve or progress our situation. Complete waste of a player. Drop him. #PUSB

Also - cowardly from Milan. The blame lies with him and Rushworth for the embarrassment of a save

You can argue if It’s bad or not, but you cannot argue that our country has been taken from the English people. 7/10 most popular surnames are foreign names, alien to us before the 90s. Our country is dying, and without something unprecedented it will be lost forever.

Newcastle’s meltdown sums up PL arrogance. Four games without a goal and we were branded whipping boys by fans too lazy to consider the context. We’ll keep proving them wrong. They’ll keep ignoring it. Their minds are made up, they won’t let evidence get in the way. #PUSB #NUFC

Never mind Arsenal and City away, deserving a point at the Etihad, deservedly beating Forest, matching Brighton until the red, and creating enough to score 8 last night. Found our feet and mid table after a brutal start. Not bad for the worst team ever…

“They don’t think I’m a true Brit” Clown world.
🚨 NEW: Shabana Mahmood says the “far right” balaclava-wearing men should “sod off” “They’d kill me in a minute if they could, and they’d definitely kick me out of my own country. They don’t think I’m a true Brit”

So you’re saying the most successful man alive has no female hormones? Interesting
He’s taken so much testosterone that it’s caused an estrogen deficiency.

In fairness, that’s a fucking brilliant run out from BTA. Onwards! #PUSB

Cov are the only club constantly reminded of our attendance past, yet it always seems to come from clubs who haven’t got near our numbers for years or have equally dodgy histories. Ipswich, Hull, Blues, Villa - all had years of empty seats. Plenty of selective memory. #PUSB
Coventry already back to their attendance from 3 years ago then? #pusb

Idiots in the fanbase getting hard over this should try using their brain for once - the tackle is only needed in the first place because yet again he’s been caught out way too high, which he perpetually has not learned. #PUSB
Brilliant sliding challenge from Liam Kitching. 👊

The people who advocate loyalty to last season’s squad fundamentally don’t understand elite sport. 8/11 of today’s team were here last year. 5-0 at home. Not scored a goal yet. You don’t reward Championship ability with Premier League minutes. We’re getting humiliated. #PUSB

This is just not true. If they went down after ambitious windows, they’d have: - Far stronger squads than us to win the Championship - Far more saleable assets than us - Relegation wage clauses Going for it leaves them better placed than us either way. #PUSB
you do realise that if it all goes tits up for them they'll be fucked for years to come !!!! I'd rather have our owner than theirs every day of the week !!!!

Because we’ve undershot it, an immediate return is less likely. They’ll come down with super squads, we’ll bring the loanees back and hope largely the same squad pulls off another Championship upset. Playing it safe now has consequences later.

Assuming all reported deals: #PUSB - 10 signings | ~£130m Ipswich - 14 | ~£200m Hull - 17 | ~£155m Of our 10, Rushworth & Onyeka were already here and Bentley is a backup GK. Just 7 real additions to a squad miles off PL level. Ipswich & Hull have rebuilt. We haven’t.

I believe we should really be sitting here tonight with at least 8 positions on the pitch where a new signing is a clear starting improvement on last seasons team. You could only make the case for 3 positions at the minute. In those terms, we’ve underperformed.

“This is the Premier League” - for a goal scored by a Championship player, assisted by a Championship player, against last season’s 5th place Championship side. Just parroting cliches and narratives without stopping to think. #PUSB
Don’t disagree with a single thing tbf and in championship I reckon we get away with that if I’m completely honest cause most teams don’t think that quick. This is prem and it’s quicker thinking what hull have adapted too in all fairness to them. One thing we need to sort #PUSB

We were miles off PL level. This window needed to transform the 11 - it hasn’t. Too many gambles, too much potential and too many of last years 11 still starting. Amenda and Yirinkyi aside, it’s a lot of money spent for an 11 that isn’t significantly changed/better. #PUSB
