& if Elriel doesn’t happen? I’ll accept that it isn’t what the author wants and move on, praying that my favorite characters are at least happy. That’s what fanfiction is for if I want to read my DESIRED outcome. I follow the AUTHOR’s lead, and don’t assume anything that isn’t on the page. This is her story. I’m just along for the ride.
