Benjamin Netanyahu once described Britain as an “Islamic Republic”, and the comments were quite extraordinary coming from the Israeli prime minister.
During a podcast appearance, Netanyahu claimed Britain's changing attitude towards Israel had transformed the country, going so far as to repeat a claim about Britain becoming a nuclear-armed Islamic republic.
But some of the basic facts about Britain, its constitutional system and even the wider world make his argument difficult to take seriously.
