It’s all treats for Tacoma commuters! All lanes are now open across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to Gig Harbor. A host of prep work and fair weather helped open lanes more than a week ahead of schedule. Many thanks to everyone who changed plans to keep backups low.

Finishing what what we started.
A little more than a year ago, this section of the North Spokane Corridor that extends from Alki to Sprague didn't exist. In one week, we will set the final girders for this project. We've even poured quite a bit of concrete on the bridge deck.

Here's a look at where traffic is being diverted off I-5 in Tumwater. The interstate is closed in both directions.
There are power outages and delays on detour routes in the area. Continue to delay travel if possible. We'll reopen the road as soon as we can.
I-5 is closed in both directions between Maytown and Tumwater. There is no ETA for reopening.
If possible, delay travel until the road reopens. Power outages and delays on detour routes are causing big backups.
