🚨 Israeli officials have confirmed that the Flydubai copilot who stabbed the captain mid-flight was attempting a jihadist terrorist attack. The suspect, reported to be of Omani descent, stabbed the pilot and attempted to crash the Boeing 737 MAX with 174 people on board, including 27 children, as the aircraft approached Israel. Defense Minister Israel Katz said the terrorist’s sole intention was to bring the plane down with everyone aboard. Passengers stormed the cockpit, overpowered him, and helped regain control of the aircraft. Off-duty crew members then safely landed the plane in Saudi Arabia. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attacker has been arrested and is being questioned. He praised the passengers for their courage, saying they saved many lives and prevented a major disaster.
