In section 106 tonight, a 45-minute drive from home, was a man wearing his lucky Jake Bauers shirt. Stu Bauers has worn his son’s t-shirt the last four Brewers games. They are 4-0. It hasn’t been washed yet and at this rate it may never be.

Today marks the 20th Anniversary of the October Surprise Storm, where a historic snowfall of 22.6 inches fell here at the Buffalo Airport. This storm created devastating impacts due to the amount of foliage on the trees. ...see next post for more info...
Today marks the 20th anniversary of the October Storm of 2006. Over a foot of snow fell across the Buffalo metro area with close to 2 feet falling across the neighborhoods to the east of Buffalo. See the map for more details on how much snow fell and where.

The October Storm of 2006 wreaked havoc across much of the Buffalo area and surrounding neighborhoods and to this day can be considered as one of the most damaging storms that hit Buffalo.

From this storm WNY residents learned first hand that leaves and snow don’t mix. There was over 150 million dollars in storm damage, over 3 million cubic yards of debris and 90% of trees were damaged.

We're forecasting highs near 100˚ in L.A. for 7 straight days into late next week. #MLB really needs to move the Sat. afternoon start at Dodger Stadium to the evening. Then, move #Padres / #Brewers to an afternoon game (highs there in low 60s with sunshine).
