PHP Attacks Update: As others, we have been observing a lot of AI slop PHP attempts against our honeypot sensors the last week, but so far no confirmed exploitation.
We have refrained from CVE-2026-109618/619 tagging in scans, due to lack of reliable, safe large scale methods.

We're publishing our most detailed threat intelligence report to date.
It covers how people tried to misuse Claude—for cyberattacks, influence operations, surveillance, biology, and building weapons—and how we found and stopped them.
We disrupted every operation in the report, and used the lessons from them to strengthen our safeguards. Where appropriate, we also shared what we found with authorities and other AI companies.
These cases are not typical: we’re highlighting some of the most sophisticated misuse we’ve seen. But they’re especially important to discuss, because they show us where AI misuse is headed, where our safeguards work, and where they need to improve.
We’re publishing this report so others can spot the same activity on their own platforms, and so we can give the public a clearer view of how emerging threats develop.

Group-IB researchers uncovered an active #smishing campaign first observed in August 2025 that targets Serbian drivers by impersonating the country's state road authority. Victims receive fake unpaid traffic fine notifications and are directed to cloned government portals where their payment card details are harvested and immediately captured by attackers. Beyond the social engineering, the operation's infrastructure disposable lookalike domains, cloned portals, and JavaScript evasion, closely matches tradecraft associated with two Phishing-as-a-Service ecosystems: #Darcula and #Phoenix.

Bavet Police Raid a Rental House, Find Eight Malaysians Running a Scam Op
Svay Rieng police hit a rented house in Tabeb village, Bavet, and detained nine people. Eight Malaysians, including one woman, and one Vietnamese man. The landlord is named as Pech Vuthy.
With most of the big compounds shut down, operators who got out are setting up small cells in rented houses and rooms. No income, no infrastructure - the police will be cleaning up pockets like this for a long time.

– Europol raided an office in Latvia few weeks ago and what they found inside is hard to believe.
– Latvia's counterterrorism unit OMEGA smashed through the doors with flashbang grenades.
– Inside were 1,200 SIM box devices stacked floor to ceiling. 40,000 active SIM cards. Connected to 80 countries simultaneously.
– They were running two websites, Gogetsms and Apisim where criminals could rent a phone number from any country on demand.
– Those numbers were used for phishing, bank fraud, investment scams, extortion, and migrant smuggling.
– 3,200 confirmed fraud cases in Austria and Latvia alone.
– $5.8 MILLION in confirmed losses.
– Police seized 4 luxury cars, $470,000 in frozen bank accounts, and $290,000 in crypto.
– 7 people were running the entire operation.
– The operation was called SIMCARTEL.
– 49 MILLION fake accounts were created using their service.
The same apps that make you jump through 6 verification steps just to log in.
49 million fake accounts got through while you were still waiting for your SMS code.
