Equity perpetuals are here: Americans can now trade perpetual futures on individual stocks listed on U.S. exchanges for the first time.
The @CFTC deemed the contracts approved as security futures, which the CFTC and @SECGov regulate jointly. U.S. investors get the protections of both agencies, the oversight Congress intended when it created a dedicated regime for security futures products.
In our August comment letter, we made the case that security futures treatment is the best path for these markets to flourish. Both CFTC- and SEC-regulated exchanges can list security futures, so venues primarily overseen by either agency can compete to offer this new class of product. That competition will improve outcomes for investors.
Equity perpetuals expand the tools that market participants can use to manage risk and take positions on securities in a single contract that never expires. We commend the staff of both agencies for this milestone in our derivatives markets.

At these levels, I want to own more of the network that I work on everyday.
I believe we are early, but not too early, to a market that will become much larger over time. This has happened, methodically. With spurts and stops, over the last 7 years.
Every point against the network also applied during the early bull when RON went from .2 -> 4.5 and last November when RON went from 1.20 -> 2.30, yet those moments happened meaning that the mechanics are not flawed. nothing has changed except the macro environment, in fact, our games and products have improved dramatically.
I believe we've seen seen the worst of tariff fud. We will see interest rate cuts. Tax cuts. The Fed policy and fiscal policy are the tightest that I've ever seen in my life but we have near term catalysts to meaningfully change this.
We also have the prospect of RON buybacks using the Ronin protocol treasury slated for later this year. We are in the midst of setting the process for this up.
I see genuine engagement and passion from users unlike anything seen in the other parts of web3 that I monitor.

Honestly, I think this is deeply unfair to @Jihoz_Axie After years of building and showing up for the @Ronin_Network ecosystem, through both the good times and the difficult ones, he deserves far more respect than this.
Making serious accusations without solid evidence, putting his safety at risk and pressuring him to reveal personal information just to defend himself is simply not okay.
You can question things without resorting to personal attacks. There's a difference between seeking the truth and unfairly targeting someone who's been part of this ecosystem for so long.

Users were already spending money on Cambria long before Abstract even existed.
I understand BEN's point.
Airdrops are inherently uncertain. TGE might never happen, or tokens might launch at a much lower valuation than expected.
Users should accept some of those risks too.
But Cambria itself chose to calculate and display Estimated Rewards based on a $60M FDV.
That wasn't some expectation users made up. It was a number the team chose themselves.
And now the FDV is around $8M.
they can't encourage users to keep spending by showing them huge estimated rewards, then turn around and blame their speculative behavior when things don't go as expected.

A lot of the issues with this tge stem from the fact that many users used cambria as the perfect farm for abs points.
the abs airdrop was cancelled.
so now you have one airdrop forced to deal with the expectations of two.
the risk to earn system of cambria is solid and makes sense from first principles.
however some users thought of this as play to airdrop system with double dipping and this behavior was the punished by the market.
