A cute picture, a new gadget, or a quick snap of your workspace might reveal more than you planned to share.
Photos may expose sensitive details through what appears in the image or through metadata (information stored alongside the image).
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲:
♡ Avoid posting in real time: Sharing your current location while you’re still there is bad practice.
♡ Check location metadata: Some photos contain GPS coordinates showing where they were taken.
♡ Limit location exposure: Disable camera location access if you don’t need it.
★ 𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝐭𝐢𝐩: On iPhone, turn off Location under Options in the Photos sharing menu before sharing a photo.
♡ Check the background before posting: Look for house numbers, delivery labels, ID cards, documents, or computer screens showing sensitive information.
♡ Think beyond one photo: Familiar landmarks, workplace details, and repeated shots from the same location reveal places you frequent, even without GPS metadata.
♡ Review every photo before posting: Consider what someone might learn from the image, not only how it looks.
𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤: Pick one photo you plan to share. Inspect the background and check whether location metadata is attached.

Copy, paste, send sounds simple until the address you paste isn’t the one you intended.
Scammers exploit this habit through address poisoning, creating lookalike addresses to trick users into copying the wrong one from their transaction history.
Clipboard hijacking malware takes a different approach by replacing a copied address with one controlled by an attacker.
𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐇𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝, 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞:
♡ Verify the full recipient address before confirming a transaction. Don’t rely on familiar beginnings and endings.
♡ Avoid copying addresses from transaction history without checking them.
♡ Save verified recipients in your wallet’s address book when supported.
♡ Send a small test transaction before transferring a large amount to a new recipient.
♡ If a pasted address changes unexpectedly, stop the transaction and investigate your device for malware before trying again.
♡ Keep your device and security software updated to reduce exposure to clipboard hijacking malware.
𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐤: Review your wallet address verification routine before your next transfer.

a certain exchange lost $387M from hot wallets last month and I wasn’t surprised because exchanges get hacked

QR codes make life easier, from accessing restaurant menus to making payments.
However, they can also lead to malicious websites or fake payment pages.
𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
♡ Preview the destination URL before opening it. Look for misspellings or unfamiliar domains.
♡ Inspect physical QR codes for stickers placed over the original.
♡ Verify the recipient and amount in your payment app before confirming a transaction.
♡ Never enter passwords, banking details or wallet recovery phrases on suspicious pages.
♡ Verify login requests and payment instructions through a trusted source before proceeding.
𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤: Find a QR code you use regularly. Practise checking its destination before opening the link.

Apple just released a touch screen MacBook and for some weird reasons they brought back the back lit Apple logo.
They call it MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display
Cool stuff
The problem: venues plan every show night by guesswork. Same burgers, same lager, whoever's playing.
So I built Convivium for @devpost @Qloo hackathon, an AI agent that plans the food, drinks, DJ set, and partners around each artist's fans.
