Kamino has been in a war room since the first rumours of the Binance hack, before anything was confirmed.
We checked our major collateral assets with their issuers and our partners. So far, we see no exposure to the hack and no backing issues.
We blocked the attacker’s SOL wallet from using Kamino's infrastructure within 5 minutes of identifying it.
As a precaution, we have also paused on chain borrowing on the SOL/BTC market. We expect to resume shortly.
Kamino can confirm that it is currently unaffected by the ongoing Binance situation
Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily paused borrowing in the SOL/BTC Market
We are actively monitoring the situation and are in communication with various partners. Any further updates will be communicated solely here on Kamino’s official Twitter account

All markets will be onchain. First slowly, then it will feel like it’s happening all at once. The efficiency, costs of capital, distribution and growth, and net new opportunities to deploy risk capital w liquidity are pulling all types of use cases on chain. @kamino @solana are ushering in a wave of new assets and liquidity onchain.

has your loan rolled over yet, anon?
First wave of fixed rate loans rolled over 🧈 smooth
Still looping?
Auto-Rollover keeps your Fixed Rate Multiply position running.
Only on Kamino.
day 1 AUTO/wYLDS loopers, your loans are already starting to roll over.
here's how Auto-Rollover works:
> you initially borrow at a fixed rate for 30 days.
> after 27 days, your position enters the rollover window.
> @kamino automatically tries to refinance your loan into a new 30-day term at the same fixed rate.
> your Multiply position stays open. no need to close, repay, or reopen anything.
what if there's not enough liquidity?
@kamino first looks for another compatible fixed-rate reserve. if none is available, your loan can switch to a variable rate if you've opted in.
if neither works, Auto-Repay gradually sells collateral to repay your debt after maturity.
> but good news: there's enough liquidity for pretty much every existing AUTO/wYLDS Multiply loan to roll over automatically.
(and no, this isn't intern's wallet.)
this whale just secured another 30 days of looping at a 5.30% fixed borrow cost.
the future of finance looks pretty good, huh?
Although AUTO fixed rate debt has 1 month rolling term, if a lender were to exit in size, the expected duration would be much less than that.
One of the more interesting properties of Kamino’s Fixed Rates design is continuous expiry, as opposed to standardised maturities - so the expiry dates should be roughly uniform.
Combine that inside a vault with variable rate allocation and you get the best of both worlds: term premium for the yield and good liquidity for exit.
Another big week for Kamino:
▫️ Fixed Rates surpassed $55M in active loans, making Kamino the fastest-growing fixed-rate lending protocol
▫️ Confidential SOL Yield launched on @NEARProtocol powered by a Gauntlet-curated Kamino Vault
▫️ AUTO Market crossed $150M in total market size
▫️ Tokenized equity supply on Kamino surpassed $50M
▫️ @upshift_fi Gamma USDC Vault launched on @solana, powered by Kamino markets
▫️ Expanded our U.S. institutional presence with two senior leadership hires and 10 new job postings
Credit markets are scaling, yield opportunities are expanding, and Kamino is just getting started.

The biggest opportunity is bringing trillions in traditional credit markets onchain.
From aircraft leasing to consumer finance and commercial lending, @WeiszM explains how bringing more assets onchain creates a snowball effect for new products and participants.
Imagine fading this
"I'm willing to lend it to you at 5% or 6%, and it's earning over 10%. That's a pretty good trade for you."
@WeiszM on the trade wealth clients can't make today: borrowing against Blackstone and BlackRock LP stakes.
Must-listen for anyone who cares about the future of the internet financial system
Next level clarity of thought and clear communication from @WeiszM.
Especially appreciate the level-headed view on what assets make sense to focus on near-term [private assets with 1) sufficiently high yield to be interesting and allow for looping and 2) consistent and relatively frequent+short-term cash flows] vs those that need time to make sense as collateral for lending (e.g., venture LP stakes)
And well steered convo by @JasonYanowitz
There's a long long way to go, but you get a clear sense for the ambition of what Michael hopes to accomplish

My portfolio is already overly exposed to solana:KMNo3nJsBXfcpJTVhZcXLW7RmTwTt4GVFE7suUBo9sS but after hearing this episode I am quite positive I am severely underexposed.
- Michael is a true operator that knows how to scale fintechs
- some hints on upcoming announcement around the vision for the KMNO token
- the team is incentivized on FDV growth of KMNO
- US expansion is a priority
On a risk-adjusted basis I don’t see much better plays in the industry over the next 3-5yrs.

Thanks @JasonYanowitz and @theempirepod. You’re a great host.
Why I joined @kamino (spoiler, amazing team), where onchain finance goes next, the teammates were looking to build with, and touched on how KMNO fits, we covered a lot.
Listen to the conversation. If this is the future you want to build, come build with us.
More on KMNO and key roles soon.
