I am a Xennial, part of a micro-generation carrying a unique blend of late analog era experience and digital age dawn followed by the most rapid shift in technology the human race ever experienced. And I am only starting to realize how amazing this blend is and how lucky I am to be one in this epoch of AI revolution. Some GenX are there, but the majority will never embrace the modern tech. It’s just totally out of the life perception context for them. Millenials, on the other hand (don’t even start with Gen Alpha), are digital natives. They are organically interacting with tech, but know shit about how it works and how to adopt new stuff based on conscious choice, not a SOTA bundle. I am a Ukrainian Xennial meaning I’ve been through so many existential crisis and monetary disasters by my 40 - I am literally numb to economic shocks of any magnitude. I’m an economic cockroach - you nuke me, I’ll visit your fridge again, you delusional mfer. Xennials were the first to go all-in in crypto, because they are the only ones to fully understand how mind blowing and earth shaking it is. We got rekt, and you know what? “here comes a droopy from guadeloupe shot” And yeah, as someone who’ve been using a pencil to wind back a Scooter tape; and paying a fortune to an ISP to earn “paid-to-surf” Spedia Bar points and create a first-ever-in-Vinnytsia US Citibank-issued check clearance event, leading to textbook instructions; and owning a 3-letter .com domain only to lose it because I moved to an apartment in a new building ignored by internet providers for a year hence losing the ownership; and making a fortune on creating website networks and selling links on them, only to lose everything in 2008; I am officially loving what’s happening. Having the memory of dialing a phone number on a rotary phone while living the age of AI making calls on my behalf is lowkey unique. Having the experience of cutting Whatman paper coming from an abandoned secret military engineering facility your father worked at into a localized copy of Monopoly (a legendary unicorn told in secret tales) while living the age of absurd abundance is lowkey astonishing. I think I know the name of the next venture/company/endeavor I’ll be part of. Meanwhile, lfg. P.S. The pictures represent the skill of planting and nurturing organic beauty. Something so natural for a Xennial and so WTF FR! for a Millennial or later.
