Racial justice comments always make me lose climate change followers, here’s the thing- climate change is the child of a history of colonialism, slavery & extraction of frontline communities-thinking you can fight it w/o justice is an affirmation of patriarchy & white supremacy🌻 – at Brooklyn, NY
She looked across a room & said “I agree with everything Elizabeth just said,” & I felt 9 years old again, emotionally moved by a hero who seemed inaccessible, but there she was smiling . She cleared the path& we will never know what it took nor how hard it was #DoloresHuerta

Congratulations to my dear friend, Elizabeth Yeampierre and the entrie UPROSE family, on the 60th anniversary of @UPROSE! ✊🏾
For six decades, UPROSE has been Brooklyn’s oldest Latino-led organization, repping, organizing, and fighting for justice in Brooklyn and beyond.
Founded during a peoples convention in 1966 & still bringing it, join UPROSE in celebrating 60 years of fighting, building & winning🐝🍯🌻🍃
