FFA is foundational to rural to schools, communities, cultures and economies. Rural America’s code of ethics is largely based in biblical and constitutional principles which do not coexist with woke ideology. The fight for America is on… and I’m here for it!
FFA changed Shad Sullivan’s life. Now, he's speaking out about what he sees as the organization’s departure from its original mission. Sullivan has joined more than 100 former national FFA officers calling for a change in direction. “Keep the Dream Alive.” 🐂🇺🇸 @yearlins writing for UNWON today. americaunwon.com/p/keep-the-…

Indeed she is.
If you haven’t watched Mike Rowe’s episode with @SecRollins @BrookeLRollins , you need to. She’s more connected to agriculture than many give her credit for. The slop she inherited at USDA was stacked to the ceiling. Many fixes require Congress. One Secretary can’t undo decades overnight.

The most important news story for rural America right now. For anyone who thinks this is a good idea look up Eden Prairie MN homecoming game.
REVEALED: A think tank co-founded by Facebook’s founding president wants an entirely NEW visa category to repopulate struggling American communities with foreign workers. It’s called the HEARTLAND VISA. They’ve already mapped roughly 1,700 potentially eligible counties—home to 58 MILLION Americans. The Economic Innovation Group, co-founded by Sean Parker, wants at least 100,000 visas a year. The pitch is explicit: “In exchange for living in a Heartland Visa community, workers with sufficient earnings will gain permanent residency” American communities become the destination. Green cards become the incentive. The proposal targets places struggling with population decline, including rural communities and former industrial centers. Foreign workers would have to live in a participating area—but could work for an employer located elsewhere. The think tank also proposes replacing labor certification with an earnings test for the green-card pathway. That would remove the usual labor-market test from this proposed route to permanent residency. The idea has already reached Capitol Hill. Republican Senator Todd Young and then-Senator Joe Manchin introduced a version in December 2024. Supporters included AOL co-founder Steve Case, Americans for Prosperity and the Niskanen Center. County officials would decide whether their communities participate. EIG continued lobbying for the proposal in 2026. This is an organized push to turn population decline into a justification for a new immigration program.

“…with a faith born not of words but of deeds.” Those words from the FFA Creed represent the Future Farmers of America organization that changed my life and the lives of generations of young Americans. There is no American future without American farmers. My FFA used to be the very foundation for that future. But this is NOT that same FFA. These misguided actions do not reflect that legacy. They are wrong, deeply troubling, and demand answers. I’m looking into it. Stand by. @NationalFFA

Great documentary on the injustice being carried out by the state of Washington.
Two Washington farming families are facing down the Washington Department of Ecology. Both are facing crushing fines for operating business as usual. In new short documentary, “Water & Punishment,” the Kings and Fodés finally tell their own stories.

The National FFA says there is “no appeal process” after banning the Fellowship of Christian Farmers from exhibiting at this year’s national convention. FFA says the policy is required by the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause. FCFI disagrees. americaunwon.com/p/national-…

Alex @alex_fasulo is a first generation farmer and land owner in upstate New York. I asked her for an interview after seeing her social videos uncovering corruption involving solar plants; potential government collusion with solar conglomerates in her area. She has moved the needle tremendously for her community on a topic of tremendous importance that of course the media was not paying attention to. It echoes patterns happening out West to ranchers like Casey Murph. @caseymurph1 But we are in a time where journalists no longer view themselves as working class, they don’t think that they have a responsibility to their communities (they’re totally out of touch with their communities), they don’t view their job as one that requires legwork, conversations with everyday Americans, speaking uncomfortable truths to power. Journalism has become an effete, cerebral profession rather than a scrappy, working class job. It has become an exercise in maintaining the status quo. People like Alex do their jobs for them and all they can do in response is investigate Alex, sit in their offices and search her social media for something they think is “incriminating.” They no longer go outside and find stories, they wait for stories to come to them. This is why there are so many media pieces about social media and tech trails and such paltry accurate coverage on real substantive issues—land use, industry, natural resources, food supply chains. What this POLITICO writer is attempting to do to Alex, a citizen whistleblower, is not normal, it’s not traditional journalistic behavior, and it’s certainly not the profession that I studied. It is why I’ve gone independent and it’s why more and more voices like Alex’s will continue to gain prominence. Alex, we love you and we have your back! Thanks for being a fighter.

This is taken from a speech Jim Mundorf gave to the South Dakota Stockgrowers, in 2025, outlining why the agriculture industry had invested in the climate movement, and the dangers of doing so. Last week Secretary Rollins and the USDA ordered checkoff programs to halt spending on ESG, net-zero, and climate neutrality initiatives.

Coming for the beef industry next.
The radical climate left forced dairy farmers to fund their own demise — the Trump Administration says NO MORE. We are rooting out all the climate nonsense that harms our farmers and ranchers. Thank you @WSJ for helping us shine a light on this important issue. 🔗wsj.com/opinion/usda-brooke-…

Sixty years ago, many North Dakota landowners signed wetland easements with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, trusting the agency would be a good and fair partner. That trust has been violated. The federal government’s overreach on these easements has been egregious and devastating for several generations of farmers and landowners. In many cases, it has resulted in worse—not better—soil quality and habitat. Thanks to Secretary Doug Burgum and Sen. Kevin Cramer, we are finally getting all the players around the table to understand what has been going on and recognize that these landowners do not want to drain wetlands. They simply want rules that reflect the terms of their original contracts and the ability to manage the land they own and pay taxes on to achieve better outcomes for both wildlife and agriculture. Wildlife, sportsmen, and conservation groups are really listening, and that is encouraging. If all the players continue to operate in good faith, this will be a win for everyone—landowners, sportsmen and women, farmers, ranchers, and, yes, ducks. Great momentum—let’s get this done!

Today, a Washington court halted enforcement proceedings against the King ranching family as they battle for their right to a jury trial. “This isn’t just about our ranch; it is about whether the government can take a family’s livelihood without proving its case to a jury,” Wade King told UNWON. “We’re thankful the Court of Appeals pressed pause so that question can be answered first. We are grateful to Pacific Legal Foundation for representing our family in this case.” americaunwon.com/p/washingto…

Sorry not sorry, proud of this work.
QUICK UPDATE ON RANCHER AGENDA:🇺🇸🐂  President Trump promised to put America’s ranchers first — and just weeks after launching our Ranchers First Initiative, our team and partners across the Trump administration and across the country are working around the clock:  ✅ Helping ranchers rebuild their herds: We are fast-tracking the new BRAND Endorsement, which will give ranchers greater financial protection when they retain heifers for breeding instead of selling them.  ✅ Helping ranchers recover from disasters: New guidance allows ranchers with Grasslands CRP acres to access emergency assistance to rebuild perimeter fences and repair other critical infrastructure after wildfires and natural disasters.  ✅ Opening new markets for local meat: New Mexico has joined a federal-state inspection program that allows qualifying local processors to sell inspected meat within state lines. More states coming soon.   ✅ Expanding local processing: We announced up to $50 million to help states establish or expand their own meat and poultry inspection programs — creating more options for ranchers and reducing reliance on the large processors.  ✅ Protecting working grasslands: More than 983,000 acres will enter Grasslands CRP on October 1, keeping land available for grazing while supporting conservation.  ✅ Expanding grazing opportunities: USDA and DOI have expanded grazing access across almost 5 million acres of federal lands, including by reopening vacant and closed allotments and streamlining grazing regulations. ✅ Ending ESG mandates: We stopped mandatory producer checkoff dollars from funding ESG-related projects. Ranchers’ money should promote their products, not advance costly political agendas.  ✅ Expanding markets for American beef: We’ve delivered 20 new trade deals and frameworks, with more to come! American ranchers gained access to Australia’s beef market for the first time in two decades, and a trade deal secured an additional annual duty-free quota of 13,000 metric tons of American beef in the UK. We promised to cut red tape, expand markets, strengthen independent processing, and give ranchers the tools they need to succeed.  There is much more work to be done, but we are making progress! Protect the herd. Back the rancher.   Learn more: usda.gov/ranchers-first

Companies like @Google, led by vegan CEO @sundarpichai, are backing Chinese-made solar panels across hundreds of thousands of acres in the Texas Panhandle, where America produces roughly 35% of its #beef @johnrich @caseymurph1 this is a war on #beef
Ground beef just hit $7.16/lb, a record. Ag Secretary Rollins says Americans are "good with that." The herd is the smallest in 75 years. 450,000 ranchers gone since '97. Nobody asked them if they're good with it. 🇺🇸 BeefMaps.com

I would like to challenge everyone, to watch an unedited two minute clip from the Farm Progress Show on Sept. 1. Secretary Rollins is speaking directly to farmers, and telling them her goals, and vision for the USDA. Watch this and then ask yourself who hates this new direction of the USDA the most? Who wants to tear her down, and see her fail the most? As she talks about putting farmers and ranchers first, and “decades of bad policy.” Ask yourself, who did the old USDA put first? Who gained the most from the bad policy? During my lifetime the USDA has worked alongside the corporate agriculture machine to consolidate the entire agriculture industry and put hundreds of thousands of farmers and ranchers out of business. Secretary Rollins wants to change that. She is the biggest threat to the corporate consolidation of agriculture that I have seen in my lifetime. This is what you need to remember when you see media trying to tear her down, remember who they are teamed up with and why. God Bless. Jim

They have been weapons…
Food and fuel are now weapons of war. And... they are a weapon that can be used to influence political outcomes in adversary countries... even allied countries if your goal is to change the political landscape to support your war position. Moscow refinery hit. Yaroslavl processing stopped. 3 of Russia’s 6 biggest diesel plants already cut or shut. IEA: a Russian refinery struck every 3 days in 2026. U.S. farm diesel: $3.02 → $5.45 in one year. On-highway: $6.285. Black Sea grain routes are being hit. Insurance just widened to almost the entire sea. Americans didn’t choose the targets. They’re paying part of the bill.

Screw the UN.
Good morning from the cheap seats. World leaders are in New York to talk AI, Iran, and “the future of food.” Out here the future of food is a $6 gallon, a wet field, and a calf that costs more than the truck that hauls it. If the UN wants a working model, skip the panel. Watch a rancher try to start a tractor before coffee.
