It’s been a big week for IU—wins on the field and big wins in academics and education. We at the IU Orthopedics are thrilled to see that Dr. Sam Nino has been named one of our new Associate Program Directors for the Orthopedic Residency. As many of you know, Sam has always been deeply passionate about orthopedic education, patient care, and mentorship. Since completing her IU Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship, she has been instrumental in our department—bringing energy, thoughtfulness, and a relentless commitment to doing things the right way for both patients and trainees. Our orthopedic residency is already an outstanding training program, and appointments like this are how great programs continue to get even better. Sam’s leadership will further strengthen resident education, foster innovation, and help train the next generation of orthopedic surgeons. From IU football excitement to IU Orthopedics continuing to grow and excel—this is a great reminder that momentum matters.
