Lol, there is something almost ridiculous about what Bae U has built with Curiosity Made Me Ask. Think about it. This is a man whose entire format is basically "Come and sit down so I can disrespect you for entertainment." And somehow, people keep coming. I'm not talking of just random celebrities. Joke Silva, Jide Kosoko, Yemi Solade, Frank Edoho, Kate Henshaw, Pete Edochie and now Olusegun Obasanjo. A former President of Nigeria sitting down to be roasted by Bae U is the kind of thing that would sound like a joke if you described it 10 years ago. Bae U has created a space where status has to leave its shoes at the door. Everybody comes in as a guest, gets roasted, roasts back, laughs and somehow, the ridiculousness is exactly what makes people want to watch. Like they never expected such a celebrity to be this way. I may not agree with everything about the man or his lifestyle, but I have to give credit where it is due. The guy saw a very simple idea and kept pushing it until people who you would normally expect to sit in a serious studio for a serious interview started coming to sit on his couch to be unserious. That is some serious work. Bae U, collect your flowers. 🌹
