So many conversations about the most powerful learning environment for player development. Are we taking into account children’s basic needs to have fun, belong, and learn ? #DontRetireKid

Muy bien! I met Mario vi LinkedIn several years ago as he reached out. After 20 years in the military, he was getting into coaching then & has been working his way through education @ experiences for the past few years; he’s now paying it forward as a @ussoccer_coach educator.

It was a great experience facilitating/teach this course in my first language, great conversations

“Soccer was the only team sport with a significant increase among kids 6-12 coming out of the pandemic.”
1. Why do we think that is?
2. What are we going to do to keep them in the game?

Let’s get her in!!!
Saturday morning PSA for Coach Educators-
You do not “teach” a “license.”
You facilitate learning through a course experience where the end result (hopefully) is the learner receiving a license that recognizes competency.
As a coach, one thing you never want to be is a player’s last coach because you made them quit. It’s the same as a coach educator- you don’t want to be someone’s last educator because you turned them off from education.

Not everyone is going to share your vision. Not everyone is going to believe what you believe. That's okay. Your positive energy must be greater than their negativity.

Jump into the colder pool. Walk instead of drive. Pick up the book instead of your phone. Take responsibility instead of hoping it goes unnoticed. In matters big and small, courage is choosing the more difficult option.

One year ago today, 63 musicians gathered at the Los Angeles Forum to celebrate the life and legacy of our brother and bandmate, Taylor Hawkins with an emotional evening of loud love and loud music.
We thank each and every one of you for honoring him with us, and continue to celebrate his memory every single day.
Miss you, Taylor.

Life is finite, and every day is a gift. Make the most of it by spreading kindness, cultivating gratitude, and cherishing those around you. Be the change you want to see in the world, and leave a positive impact that will outlast you.

Craving social approval stifles authenticity and breeds misery.
The antidote is not to stop caring about other people's opinions altogether. It's to decide whose opinions you respect.
Hint: it's probably not judgmental relatives, former classmates, or strangers on the internet.
