I’m a cardiologist. A 24-year-old former Division I field hockey player in “perfect health” just died two miles from the NYC Marathon finish line. Her heart didn’t fail first. Her muscles did. She collapsed at Mile 24 after texting her dad “Ow” and “Ow ow.” Six hours of CPR and hospital efforts couldn’t save her. This is rhabdomyolysis — and it can kill even the fittest athletes.
24-year-old Rachel Apa dies after collapsing in Central Park just two miles from completing the New York City Marathon. Her parents say they were tracking her on the marathon tracking app when she stopped moving at Mile 24. "Final stretch," her father texted her at Mile 23, but she never replied. Her parents say they were waiting at Mile 25 and tracking her on the app, but noticed she stopped moving at Mile 24. After a few minutes, they headed to Mile 24, where they found an ambulance pulling out. According to The New York Times, Apa collapsed before a social worker ran over and tried to find a pulse. Three people took turns trying to resuscitate her. She was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center, where doctors spent six hours trying to save her life. Apa's father says she died from rhabdomyolysis, a condition that can be caused by exertion, in which skeletal muscle rapidly disintegrates and poisons the blood. "It’s unfathomable. Perfect health, perfect shape, 24 years old," her father said. Apa played field hockey at Bucknell University and ran the race for her grandfather, who died from Parkinson’s disease.

There’s nobody, not one person, home and abroad that went to school, at any level, with the President of the most populous black nation in the world.

ALL the people who started “defending” their tribes ended up being the very things they were fighting against, miss me with that bullshit.

Tears on the timeline. UK government has tightened requirements for ILR, Canada just did too with their express entry. Make una dey come hass we have a country to build 🙏🏽
Anti immigration sentiments will continue to rise in the west and become too hot for immigrants. Nigerians will sit up and pay more attention to the leaders they elect. Diasporas will return home with knowledge, experience and finances to build their country.

For those of you defending Jesus Owono. Let me break this video down for you. Jesus de Miguel was looking back anticipating a through ball, and when it was made, he got his eyes fixed on the ball without checking if the goalkeeper was coming as it was in the middle of the pitch. Jesus Owono on the other hand, already saw Jesus de Miguel; he knew Miguel didn't see him approaching, yet he ran towards him and collided with him with a flying kick to his ribs and a punch to his chest without aiming the ball at all. Now, you know why I said it was an intentional act? Immediately Miguel dropped to the floor, hurting badly, Jesus Owono would have moved towards him to show some empathy and care if it wasn't intentional. But what did he do instead? He walked away without remorse and only started showing false care when he realized the incident was more serious than he expected. Secondly, in an accidental collision both players remain on the floor because the pain spreads to both of them as they didn't expect the sudden clashing. Notice how Owono stood up immediately and only Miguel was on the floor feeling the pain alone. So yeah, Jesus Owono didn't intentionally kill Jesus de Miguel. But Jesus Owono intentionally harmed Jesus de Miguel.
I have seen several players killed in a similar way by goalkeepers. And all the goalkeepers found at the crime scene usually have a similar reaction after the incident: ANGER FRUSTRATION CONTEMPT A LACK OF REMORSE If you watch and analyze this video, you will know that Jesus Owono wasn't aiming at the ball; he was recklessly aiming at Jesus de Miguel. He intentionally did that and has now unintentionally sent him early to his grave. I hope a serious punishment is set aside for Owono, so that other goalkeepers can learn from it.

Overzealous idiot. He didn’t even bother to turn and check on the person he injured until it appeared serious.

You will always find a way to infuse yourself into what doesn’t concern you then play the victim. The person whose dick you’re slurping doesn’t even acknowledge you like that.
